Location

This pleasant hotel is located on the outskirts of Como just 2 km from the historical centre of the city. The lakeside promenade is about 300 m away and the beach and bathing area are 2 km from the hotel. Links to the public transport network are a mere kilometre away.

Facility

76 non-smoking rooms, including 9 single rooms, are located on 4 storeys and can be reached by lift. Multilingual staff (English, German, French) at the reception desk in the lobby are ready to assist you with check-in and check-out.     Due to sever thunderstorms we could not reach Como, although we informed management about our inability to reach Como, i was charged for the 2 nights i had booked. Upon my plea and helplessness, the Management graciously accepted my request to treat the charged amount as an advance, which we intend to visit before September 2026, so in all its a fair term and we look forward to our visit again !One again I would thank and appreciate Reservation Manager Ms. Fabrizia Vettorello for her time and action .

    Great hotel but little ways from the action

    Spent two nights here on Rick Steves tour of Italy. Very nice hotel with large rooms with great amenities. Rooftop pool and bar are fantastic. The included morning breakfast is very good and hotel staff friendly and helpful. Since my wife and I were part of a tour group I do not know whether or not the rates are reasonable. The only drawback is the location is about a full mile from the lake and a fairly long walk into the main square and all the action. Nonetheless this is a very nice property.

    We stayed at the Hotel Como in late August for 1 week in a superior room for 3 people. Room was very clean, modern and comfortably large. Bathroom was also spacious with a walk in shower, all good.The location is approximately a 10-15 minute slow walk to the old Town and another 10 to the lake front. It's a flat walk too, no big hills and direct, it's virtually 1 straight road. It's in what you call the suburbs on the edge of the old town but it's a very quiet area especially in the evening, walking back at night you barely see anyone and it feels very relaxed and safe. A mid sized supermarket is right next door with a very large general clothing store next to that. Very convenient. The hotel is clean and modern looking inside and the staff are friendly and very helpful. Cleaning staff are extremely efficient and will clean your room daily without having to get up early. Pool and bar are nice. Pool is a nice size approx 15m long by 7m wide it's not as small as the picture looks. The bar does decent food up til 9pm. Handy if you don't want to walk to town all the time but the food is basic meals. Como itself is a wonderful small city with a beautiful lake that has to be explored by boat. I would definitely recommend Hotel Como. If it was right next to the lake I would give it 5 stars, however it would be a lot more expensive hotel if it was.

    Service: The front desk staff were not helpful with planning or providing advice on things to do in the city.Summary:The hotel is clean and offers a great view, but it is overpriced for the amenities and service provided. The lack of helpfulness from the front desk and absence of tourist information made my stay less enjoyable. I appreciated the nearby supermarket and the rooftop bar, but overall, I would not rate this as a 4-star experience.

    We liked this hotel. The staff was very friendly and the rooms were nice. It is a few blocks (maybe a 10 minute walk) from the Old Town area in Como. We would have preferred to stay in Old Town, but there aren't a ton of hotels there and they're much more expensive. If you're visiting because you want to explore the area, this hotel is great. You can walk to Old Town, which is much bigger and nicer than we expected, spend some time there and maybe grab a meal on the water, and explore Lake Como by taking the ferry. This hotel is a great launching point for it. Supposedly there are some good restaurants at an affordable price very nearby (the person at the counter in the hotel told us about them and showed us where they were on the map), but we did not try them. They do offer free parking - that was definitely a plus. Would recommend this hotel. Be sure to visit the rooftop bar / swimming pool. We expected this to be a small area, but it was huge and very nice.
