    Misrepresentation of Hotel Room Booking

    we’re really disappointed with the hotel room we were given. The room we were given is significantly different from what was shown on the hotel’s listing when we booked online. The photos and descriptions on the website compared to reality, the room is outdated, poor condition and dirty. This discrepancy feels misleading and not in line with the booking terms. We booked in good faith based on the advertised images and amenities, and we are extremely disappointed with what we’ve received. We have paid $470 euros a night to get a horrible experience. We have shared our feedback with the hotel, instead they get super defensive versus trying to work things out for us. I do not recommend this place to anyone.     We have just returned home from a week at this hotel feeling very relaxed. The staff in all areas from reception to restaurant staff were so friendly and helpful. Our room was clean and spacious and had a lovely view of lake Lugano. We did not pay to use the adult only spa but used the family spa and sauna. We found the best time to go was after 6pm as it was quieter. The spa had sauna, steam room and relax area where children under 16 were not allowed. There are 2 outdoor pools which we did not try as they are not heated and also private beach area. We were on half board, the breakfast had so much choice. The evening menu changed each evening, we had to pay for our drinks. There is parking on site but it is chargeable. The staff are knowledgeable on places to visit.     This is a fantastic resort. Do not hesitate in booking it. Got an apartment with an amazing view of the lake. Very spacious and clean. Service is superb, everyone very helpful and with the best attitude and lovely smiles. Spa is great, I was the only one there, had 3 saunas and steam room just for me, wished it opened earlier and would then have used it every day. Inside pool is very nice. Outside pools look fantastic but they are not heated and it was cold in October. This place must be a hit in summer for families with kids, tons of activities and things to keep the entire family busy (foozball, pingpong, tennis, amazing outdoor areas, teens and kids clubs, etc). Ah...and THE breakfast....delicious! First time I go to a buffet breakfast and don’t take any carbs....the other options are so great ...so many fruits (the best mango I have had in a while, great papaya, passion fruit, etc), juice machines, eggs to order, smoothies, prosecco, etc....kids loved the pancakes. Resort is 20 min to Lugano, 20 min to Lake Como. Don’t miss Villa Del Balbianello (where Star Wars and James Bond were filmed). This was my 4th trip to Como/Lugano region and by far the best accommodation I have had there.     Beautiful resort on Lake Lugano!

    My husband and I stayed here towards the end of our 12 day trip and it was the perfect setting to wind down the trip. Lake Lugano is gorgeous and there is not one bad view from the resort. We hung out one day at the private beach and swam in the lake and rented the paddle boats for an hour, which I highly recommend. The restaurants were amazing as well and I highly recommend asking about reserving the Buddha pavilion for a private dinner for two- really romantic and you just can’t beat the views. If you want to check out Lake Como, it’s only about a 25 minute drive. This place is also great for families. We would definitely stay here again!     When is a Lake view not a Lake view?

    After a long journey and drive and check in process, we were somewhat disappointed to find that the "Lake view (partially restricted)" as promised on the hotel's website was actually no Lake view (see pictures). All that is visible is a roof of a nearby property. Traveling with 3 children including a 18 month toddler I immediately raised this with the front desk. This is when we were offered as an alternative an inferior old apartment that was up 3 flights of stairs and had spiral stairs for the duplex room and a balcony totally unsafe for toddlers. Perhaps Wendy already knew we would not like it at all but at least she could claim that she tried! It was a complete waste of my time (after such a long day) to show me that unsuitable apartment in F Villa that was actually INFERIOR. Even more offensive was their offer of a refund for us to leave. Where on earth where we going to go at last minute? I really resent Wendy's attitude towards us and it really needs addressing as we still feel upset about this. I cannot fault the service and warmth from Lara, Valentina and Roberto who were very friendly. The resort is beautiful and stunning with so many things to do and enjoy from the beach and pools to the brilliant breakfast and kids club. It really is a treat. But if you are expecting to travel all the way here to wake up to Lake views - be warned - the website is misleading and the hotel staff will not help you.
