    We family of 4 , stayed at this wonderful charming hotel on lake como . The stylish , grand , European charm of this hotel is enough for anyone to be transported into Heavenly world !! Next to ferry terminal , in a quiet village of Menaggio , on lake front , breakfast overseeing Lake como , swimming pool facing lake , private jetty for boat rides on lake - what else does one want ?? We were travelling for first time to lake como and hotel lined up very professional pick up from Lugano station and drop to Milan airport . Very supportive and smiling staff making you feel at Home ! Menaggio is very quite village and road leading to village square overlooking lake lite up at night gives you magical feeling when you are having Gelato ice cream !! Strongly recommend to avoid home stays , be a guest in this hotel and pamper yourself !Thank you !!     Stunning grand hotel with Italian old school charm

    The hotel is the best location – right on the lake with stunning views while you enjoy a delicious breakfast, sunbathing, and cocktails at the outside bar. The ferry terminal is just a one-minute walk so you can travel easily to Bellagio, Varenna, and other destinations easily. It’s a wonderful oasis of calm to come back and relax by the pool after a busy day of sightseeing. Menaggio town centre and all the restaurants and shops are just a 5min walk away as well. The team here are exceptional and more like a 5 star with their amazing service and friendliness. They organised a chauffer driven car to collect us and take us to the airport. I was on holiday with my mother and I asked for rooms next door to each other which they were also able to accommodate. The wonderful reception team also helped with booking taxis to Villa Carlotta and always welcomed us with such warm smiles. The restaurant staff, bar staff, porters, reception, cleaners, were all charming and warm and really made it such a wonderful experience.We stayed for four nights and highly recommend the lakeside view – it is worth it! It was a lovely touch that they had live music of a harp player one evening and a wonderful opera singer on another night by the bar. A wonderful way to finish the evening. My mother used to stay at this hotel with my late father so was lovely to be here and have such a magical stay. It really is charming and loved the décor and ambience. The only small and inexpensive things I think the hotel could do to be even better are:• Provide bathrobes in the rooms• Update the bedroom sockets – not all of them worked and some USB outlets would be welcomed • The gym – invest in some free weights and kettlebells as you have plenty of space in there to provide these and would turn the gym from ‘OK’ to ‘very good.’ It would be great to have that as an option for those of us who don’t like machines and prefer to do our own workout with weights.     Lakeside location with well maintained gardens and heated swimming pool, situated next to the ferry, which does not intrude. Rooms are clean, spacious, comfortable bed and spacious bathroom. Staff are friendly and efficient, seem to enjoy providing a good service. Exceptional breakfasts taken in the dining room opening out to the garden.     Superb Location, Superb Room, Superb Breakfast

    We spent a lovely week at this hotel. It was ideally located for using the network of ferries to other villages around Lake Como, being located right next to the ferry dock. We enjoyed drinks on the terrace next to the swimming pool and had a beautifully presented and tasty evening meal. We would thoroughly recommend the Grand.
