    We had an amazing stay at Palace Hotel Lake Como. As soon as we entered the hotel, we noticed a very friendly and welcoming vibe. The reception staff were extremely professional and helpful, guiding us from A–Z about Lake Como and the surrounding areas, which made our trip much easier and enjoyable.The breakfast was good, but the latte here is absolutely amazing. The hotel is in an excellent prime location with beautiful surroundings and easy access to the main attractions.The only small improvement would be the gym, which could use a little upgrade. Overall, it was an amazing experience and we would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Lake Como.     Excellent Stay at Palace Hotel Como with Stunning Views and Perfect Location

    Our stay at the Palace Hotel in Como was overall a fantastic experience and one we would happily recommend.We arrived earlier than expected, and it was a great surprise that our room was already ready for us. After traveling, this made a big difference and allowed us to settle in right away. The room itself was amazing—spacious, well-equipped, and with a spectacular view that really elevated the whole stay.The hotel’s location is another major highlight. It’s perfectly situated with easy access to everything we needed, and being just across the road from the ferry terminal made getting around Lake Como incredibly convenient. Parking at the hotel was also straightforward and hassle-free, which is always a plus.The facilities were excellent, particularly the gym, which was modern, well-maintained, and far better than what you typically expect from a hotel. Throughout our stay, the staff were friendly, welcoming, and always seemed happy to help.That said, the welcome experience could have been a bit more informative. We weren’t given key details on arrival, such as where breakfast was served or the location of the gym, and had to reach out later to get that information. It’s a small thing, but having that upfront would have made the check-in feel more complete.Overall, this is a wonderful hotel in a prime location, with great amenities and a welcoming atmosphere. We would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Como.     Great location, next door is main train station Como Lago. In front of the hotel is boat station that can bring you to many places (ie: Bellagio etc). Next door also old town shopping area and the main church (Chatedral) also within easy foot steps. Restaurants are easy to find. I booked the room with balcony facing the lake. Room is spacious and well maintained. Breakfast is standard but fully adequate. In summary: highly recommended to stay here. A delightful experience.     Good Location, Historic Hotel with recent updates

    You really can’t fault the Palace Hotel for location — right on the shores of Lake Como and incredibly central. I do think this review needs to be taken in context, as we travelled in the off-season. At peak summer rates, the experience and expectation might feel quite different.A huge shout-out to the maintenance and service staff, who were exceptionally friendly, as well as the restaurant team, who were excellent throughout our stay. The reception experience, however, was noticeably less warm. Having previously worked in a five-star hotel myself, I always make a point of making eye contact and greeting staff, and that simply wasn’t reciprocated here — reception staff rarely looked up from their desks.We stayed in a lake-view room that had been recently refurbished, and the room itself was difficult to fault. Overall, it represented good value for money for a winter stay, but I’m not convinced I’d feel the same paying peak-season rates.
