    Great spot in Cortina!

    rating17 Mar 2026

I spent two nights at Hotel Serena Cortina during the Olympics and it exceeded my expectations. The staff, from the front desk to the restaurant, are super friendly and helpful. I booked a single room and it was fantastic. It appeared brand new with a decent size bathroom and even a small balcony overlooking the mountains. Smartly furnished, immaculate and very quiet. 5 minute walk from shops and restaurants.

Simple but excellent stay during the Olympics.

Had such a terrific experience during the Olympics at the Hotel Serena. I booked at the last minute without much research, but felt so lucky to have happened upon the Serena. What I'd say is that this is a simple hotel that does a few things very well. It is not a resort, but rather a very well tended mountain hotel that basically has rooms and a dining room. And an extremely nice staff. My room singel room was newly renovated and spotless , and it was the nicest single room I've ever had - thoughtfully designed with a nice desk, big closet, and s snug oversized bed tucked into an alcove right next to a nice window that you could throw open and look out onto the mountains. It was all warm wood, and simple but lovely. And dinner in the dining room offered a small menu every night but the food was great. I loved my spaghetti all'Amatriciana! Again, it's not fancy, but it is well tended, spotless and I felt very comfortable there and very welcome. Plus, it's just a short walk from the main pedestrian zone so all very easy! Loved it, and credit to the hotel for doing a great job.

    A lovely stay in Cortina

    rating10 Dec 2025

We had such an amazing experience at Hotel Serena! We were upgraded to one of the refurbished rooms, which was clean, stylish and very comfortable. The staff were amazing, helpful and friendly throughout our stay. The breakfast was lovely, and the hotel was located well in Cortina, with an easy 5-minute walk into the main square. Would recommend to anyone, and would definitely stay again. Thank you to Hotel Serena

Even got a nice upgrade! We were met with kindness and helpfullness and the rooms and breakfast with super. And we really enjoyed our afternoons at the balcony.

Hotel ok Food not so good. Location meh.

    rating09 Apr 2025

The hotel was OK but a fair walk from the lifts. The bus was just.down the road about2m walk but the hotel would give you a lift.to the lift in their mini bus for a few euros each. The main issue was the food. You had to chose from a menu the day before. 4 courses and a choice of 2 options for the 2 middle ones. I have a nut allergy and many times ticked this box but it was ignored. I asked the waiter on 3 occasions if the dessert had nuts (no dessert menu choice) to have what was in front of me swiftly taken away and an apple brought to me instead. Nobody knew what contained nuts which is vital to know when eating foreign food. I had a week of eating very little and only what I could.logically assume didn't have nuts. Poor show. The food was not wonderful and 3 times we went out to a restaurant so at least I could have a proper meal without being scared of eating nuts. The bar service was dreadful. A single hypothermic elderly sloth would have been quicker and the only area to sit in was next to the freezing draught of the main door. No warm welcoming lounge with a log fire.
