    Lovely

Lovely, friendly hotel and staff that treated us very well. The hotel itself is a tad dated and rooms are cramped, however,I have stayed in far superior hotels with much less charm and warmth and would recommend it.Updating the entire hotel would loose it's charm and spoil it.There is also a restaurant open occasionally next to the ski locker room which is immaculately presented and very friendly head waiter.Great place overall.

Residence la Posta, Madonna di Campiglio, Italy

    rating14 Feb 2015

This hotel is ideally located centre of town, just off the traffic free piazza and reasonably priced. I stayed here for a ski week with my son and daughter, they had the bedroom and I had the sofa bed which was fine for me. The hotel is lovely, clean, warm, all the staff are very friendly, helpful and with a smile. It's self catering but there's a breakfast option at €8 each but we bought cereals etc.. from the supermarket. The hotel is only 500 yds from the Cinque Laghi gondola which was great and the whole area linked, we covered the whole area in 1 week so plenty of variety. Scenery is spectacular, mountain restaurants reasonable at €28 for 3 of us for lunch/drinks. Restaurant prices vary but averaging €20 each incl a litre of house wine. Après ski non-existent unless you like sophisticated cafes, there's no bouncing euro pop bars here. The only complaint about this hotel is that the ski room has no heating so you have to take your boots to dry off in your room otherwise you get damp socks next morning (yuk!!). Overall very good hotel and a great area to ski, not to challenging so good for the intermediate. Plenty of shops but most are a bit upmarket and expensive.

    Great Place

This hotel was just off the main square of Madonna, giving you quick and easy access to the charming bars and restaurants after a day's skiing, including a remarkably well stocked supermarket. We had a very nice one bedroomed apartment with a separate small kitchen with a two ringed hob and full sized fridge and microwave and a spacious sitting room with a comfortable settee where a third person could have slept if necessary, also a dining room table and chairs, a very nice bathroom with plenty of fluffy towels and hairdryer. The decor was slightly tired, but it was such a nice apartment with a balcony that got the midday sun that this could easily be forgiven. Everywhere was carpeted, including the landings outside the rooms, making it a very quiet place to stay, certainly noise was not an issue, morning external noise outside on the road was not an issue either as it was pedestrianised, only the odd delivery lorry. The staff were very nice at all times, pleasant and heipful, always ready to give you the daily free Wifi code. You could buy breakfast in the morning for 4 euros, continental or a full buffet for 8 euros. We did not eat in the restaurant, but it was always busy and had an interesting menu. The ski lifts were all within comfortable walking distance, as was the ski hire shop. The apartment was cleaned every day.

    La Posta - OK

Small hotel, conveniently located right in the centre of the town. Take it as boutique mini-apartment rental with basic hotel services. While you may not have the space for all the persons advertised per room (i.e. a 3-persons apartment may actually host only 2 individuals, very familiar to each other), you have the usage of a mini-kitchen, clean rooms, ski deposit and even parking (for a fee). There is also a restaurant serving breakfast or local Italian food (pricey). Ok, it is expensive for what it has on offer, but given the circumstances (XMas skiing in Trentino) I take is as a fare buy.

    Very small

    rating25 Jan 2014

I recently spent a week in this hotel as part of a group of four.My main complaint was the size of the accommodation which included a small bedroom with two single beds a main living room which consisted of a sofa which converted into two other beds. This in itself was a squeeze for four adults but on top of this the ski locker in the basement was only big enough at a push to take all our ski's and poles, as a result all of this all our ski boots had to be stored in the already over crowded appartment.Upon arrival at the accommodation we were told that they needed to pay a 100 euro deposit and that they would be taking 30 euros out of that for their final clean!! Which I would expect to be part of the initial price! The breakfast was also very expensive at 8 euros for bread cheese and meats, but that was the case with most things in this very expensive resort. If I could say anything positive about the accommodation it would be that it was very central and close to the supermarket and ski lift.In reality this apparment would be more suitable for two adults.
