  Good hotel

  05 Dec 2025

This was our third time staying here. Good sized rooms, with a fridge and - usually - a working safe. Everything is spotlessly clean.I asked for, and got, a room far from the lifts. This is important, because corridor noise carries into the rooms. The breakfast is excellent and the breakfast-room staff, Giacomo especially, are really helpful. The double espressos are the best in Italy.Soundproofing between rooms is excellent. Corridor noise does travel though and doors bang loudly.I was a bit disappointed with the hotel this time. I booked direct, saving the hotel the fees charged by hotel reservation sites. But I got a room where the safe is not anchored to anything. And it was locked. I went to reception and got the override code. It didn’t work. I asked for a change of room. I was told the hotel was full. I didn’t check alternative hotels for this trip, but I will for next time. nicola papagno, Direttore generale at Hotel Touring, responded to this review Thank you for returning to stay with us for the third time. I often remind my team that “hospitality is earned with every stay.” Your loyalty over the years means a great deal to us, which makes it even more important to address your disappointment during this visit. Please accept my sincere apologies for the issue with the safe and for the inconvenience caused when we were unable to offer a room change due to full occupancy. A returning guest who chooses to book directly should always enjoy a seamless experience, and I regret that we fell short of that standard. I will personally ensure that all safes are properly installed and that internal procedures are reviewed with the staff.I am pleased to know that many aspects of your stay still reflected the comfort and atmosphere you have appreciated in the past, and I will gladly pass your kind words to Giacomo and the breakfast team.Your observations regarding corridor noise and door closings are also noted; improvements are already being carried out to enhance overall comfort.I truly hope you will reconsider and allow us the opportunity to restore the trust you have shown us in your previous visits. Should you return to Ferrara, please feel free to contact me directly — I will be happy to personally take care of your reservation.Kind regards,Nicola Papagno

  FANTASTIC STAY

  15 Jun 2025

The hotel was in a fantastic location. The room we were assigned was nice and clean. The staff were great. A special shout-out goes to Désirée and Siria. They were extremely friendly and went out of their way to assist us - be it in recommending restaurants to dine at, sights to see and even reassigning us another room when we commented the air con in the earlier room was not so cold.A shout-out also goes out to Nabil, the Night Concierge on duty. He was most helpful earlier this morning when we checked out of the hotel and the airport transfer was nowhere in sight. He went out of his way to check through the records, locate the driver's contact details and telephoned him. Not to mention he also managed to get us two cups of Espresso and 2 bananas - at 5.00 am!!All the staff mentioned above are a credit to the hotel. Thank you so much. We will be back. nicola papagno, Direttore generale at Hotel Touring, responded to this review Dear Guest,We would like to thank you wholeheartedly for your wonderful review! Great hotel

  02 Apr 2025

We stayed here before in September 2023. It is as good as we remembered. Almost beside the Este castle, close to restaurants.Very quiet. Last time, our room didn’t have a safe. This time it did.The AC doesn’t cool the room. We had the same issue last time. It was quite warm at night, but not uncomfortable. I’d hate to think how uncomfortable it would be in high summer.Spotlessly clean room and bathroom. Both were a good size. There is a fridge in the room.Excellent breakfast buffet and great breakfast-room staff. The double espressos are still the best I’ve ever had.Ferrara is a nice town to visit and there are regular trains to and from Bologna. nicola papagno, Direttore generale at Hotel Touring, responded to this review Thank you so much for your lovely and detailed review! It’s a real pleasure to welcome you back and to know that your second stay lived up to the memory of the first. We're glad you appreciated the central location, the quietness, the cleanliness, and of course, our breakfast — especially the double espressos, which clearly left a mark!We also appreciate your honest note regarding the air conditioning. While we’re relieved it didn’t affect your overall comfort, we’re sorry it wasn’t as effective as it should be. We’ll have our maintenance team take a closer look to ensure better performance, especially with summer approaching. We hope to welcome you again soon — Ferrara and Hotel Touring will be waiting for you!Nicola Papagno ( Hotel Manager)

This hotel is really well located in the historical centre, two minutes walk to the Castello d'Este. All attractions are within easy walking distance. It is clean and comfortable.
