    Staff was super helpful and friendly at all times. We had an issue with the A/C and the late shift worked hard to make it happen. But they even offered to relocate us to another hotel because they were full. They pulled it off and we had a great stay. Supermarket nearby and nice restaurants. The outside bar was lively.

    Great hotel in a nice neighborhood. Somewhat removed from the historic attractions in the center of town but the walk from here is direct and is a good way to stretch your legs. Staff is very helpful and friendly. Room was lovely; bed was super comfy, and there is a cappuccino maker in the room! Abundant breakfasts with fresh local fruits, juices, breads, cheeses, and delectable pastries.

    The hotel was booked as part of a group tour while in Florence. The hotel is “historic” but felt very dingy and dirty. The comforter, walls and curtains all had stains on them. The floors would leave your feet black (good thing they provide slippers).The truly disappointing part was the air conditioning. The first night the room was 80 degrees and was absolutely miserable to try and sleep. We tried asking the front desk about it and didn’t get much answers other than it was broken. We reached out to our tour guide to see if she could help and she was able to confirm that it was supposed to be fixed. The next night the temp got down to 75, which was better, but still very hot. I understand that it’s Europe and AC is a luxury but it was just blowing hot air. I would not recommend booking if you are sensitive to hot/cool air.

    We stayed 2 nights in May. This hotel is very worn, dated and breakfast service was crowded and understaffed. It was a terrible experience. I was there on a group trip. Bathrooms were horrible, room was dirty and ac did not work till they fixed it in our room. This hotel really needs to do some major updates. Outdoor bar and patio has so much potential! Positives: Staff was friendly and tried really hard under the bad conditions. Location was good.

    This place is a dump, I'm surprised they get away with charging so much. The walls are covered in black marks, the pillows have bloodstains on them (and the curtain do, too? How?!), the mattress has massive mystery stains, the bedsheets & pillows are rough and uncomfortable, and the walls are paper thin so you'll hear EVERYTHING your neighbors are doing.There are plenty of better options than this in Florence. TripAdvisor should really have a separate score for all-time reviews & recent reviews, because this place's high rating is coasting on VERY old positive reviews.
