  Good Location, But Disappointing Hospitality and Loud

  The location of this BnB is convenient, but unfortunately the experience didn’t live up to expectations. The rooms facing the street are extremely noisy due to the constant trams, and it’s surprising these rooms aren’t priced differently given the disruption.We initially asked if it was possible to move from a street-facing room to a quieter garden-facing room and were told nothing was available. However, when we checked Booking.com ourselves, there appeared to be rooms open, so we asked again. The receptionist then said he would need to speak with the owner. The interaction that followed felt quite awkward and oddly unwelcoming, lacking the warmth and hospitality we’ve experienced at many other BnBs throughout Italy.Breakfast was another disappointment. While the selection itself was fairly standard — croissants, deli meats, cheeses, etc. — the quality was noticeably below what we’ve had elsewhere during our travels. In the end, we chose to go out for breakfast every morning because we found the food difficult to enjoy.Overall, the location is the main positive, but the service, room experience, and breakfast quality left a lot to be desired.

  Decent budget accom in a good location

  The apartment is well situated with a short walk from the main Florence train station. There are a few cafes etc in the street nearby where we stopped for breakfast. An easy walk to the Cathedral and other main sights. On arrival, the host met us and helped with bags. Nice to have a lift so we weren't carrying bags up several flights of stairs. The building is very secure, a locked door to get in from the street, a locked door into the apartments on that level, then a final locked door into your own room. The room itself was a decent size, nothing fancy but quite comfortable. The beds and pillows were comfortable. Small but functional bathroom. We noticed there wasn't a kettle or cups in the room but they provided one when we asked. All in all a nice budget option for Florence.

  Excellent location!! Roberto, the host was very friendly. We hadn't bought a EU adapter with us from the UK and he sought out and found a charger to lend us for the 3 nights we were there. We were in a double and it was immaculate and clean. We went out one morning and came to find the room spotless and bed made. The only negatives I would suggest that needs to be mentioned are the local taxes at 33 euros (3 nights x 2 people), which you have to pay cash for and it would be great to have a kettle in the room to make a tea, or coffee. However, I can appreciate breakfast is an added option. But, It would be great if these facilities were in place. Apart from that. I would definitely stay here again. The rate for the room and the location it's in easily deserves an excellent rating. Thank you Roberto from A and S you made us feel very welcome whilst staying in your beautiful town and country.

  Once you arrive in SMN station, its a 5 minutes walk to get here. Seems a little shady when you walk up the stairs but once checked in, the rooms were clean and comfortable. As ive mentioned, it did the job for 1 night if you are just looking for a nice and comfortable place to lay your head for the night in the premise of the train station.

  We stayed here for a week in September 2019. It is a very convenient little hotel/ B&B. Close to the railway station and within walking distance of Florence city centre and all that it has to offer. There are several, shops, bars, cafes and restaurants close by. The staff are friendly and very helpful, they gave us a city map on arrival and heaps of information on how to get around and things to do. Our room was spotless clean and had everything required, air conditioning, fridge, television, safe. A pleasant continental style breakfast was served every morning with terrific coffee. I would recommend the Marbo B&B to anybody and definitely a place to return to should we ever visit Florence again.
