    Wonderful hotel, wonderful location

    The hotel was lovely and clean, and our room was ready for us when we arrived at 2 o’clock. The view was spectacular, looking over the Arno River. As well as this, the location is ideal as we were within easy walking distance to all of the major tourist attractions and many local restaurants. The room was a nice size, and was cleaned to a wonderful standard every day. The staff were all polite and courteous to us and were extremely helpful when organising a taxi to the airport.The only criticisms I would have of the hotel is that the bar is extremely expensive: €10 for one small bottle of beer; and we were not completely informed of the minibar and water situation. In the room there were two plastic bottles of water on the desk with a compliment slip written on it and in the fridge there were two glass bottles of water in there as well. We were charged 2 1/2 euros for the water from the fridge. Had it been made clearer, we would have drunk the other water that was given to us with compliments. Hotel Balestri was a wonderful hotel and we would definitely stay again and would recommend to anyone who is visiting Florence.

    A lovely clean hotel in a great location. Easy to get to all attractions and fabulous restaurants from here. The room was cleaned to high standards every day. The view from our room was spectacular, looking over the river Arno. My only complaint was that there was a complimentary sign on the water bottles in the room but that was misleading! We were charged for a bottle because it was glass, this could have been made clearer! The drinks at the hotel are super expensive too compared to top restaurants in the area. This is the reason it got a 4 star instead of 5.

    No I’m room coffee/espresso machine. Instant coffee packets only. Small but nice room. Location slightly off the beaten path but still very close to most sites. Good breakfast.

    The rooms aren’t massive and I think we had the smallest room in the whole hotel however there is great attention to detail, all the staff are really friendly, approachable and helpful. There is a wide range of breakfast items available and a wide selection of drinks at the bar.

    Beautiful hotel in great location, and the breakfast was generous and had everything one would want. Francesco, front desk host, made my stay perfect. The cocktail lounge was excellent as well.
