  A must stay!

  As soon as we stepped foot into this hotel, our reception host Albie greeted us with a ‘big friendly’ smile and was very very accommodating! He was very helpful in suggesting a restaurant for dinner and provided a map of the city, thus explaining the major attractions. The included breakfast was delicious (especially the croissants) and the coffee was excellent! The attractions were within walking distance and the laundromat was just down the street. All in all, had a great experience with this hotel! Thank you for everything Albie!!

  Small, friendly hotel just a few minutes walk from the main railway station

  A small, friendly hotel which is just a few minutes walk from the main railway station. The receptionist was very helpful and recommended an excellent and affordable restaurant for dinner. It's easy to walk from here to the city centre. My single room was perfect for my needs. Helpfully there's a convenience store across the road to buy food for a train journey. I would happily stay here again.

  The hotel is a small family business, with wonderful staff. Rooms are clean, bathrooms large, mini bar, linen changed daily, with aircon and windows that open..Also attached the the hotel is a cafe, open for lunch, and also breakfast which is included in your daily rate. The hotel also has a large terrace.. Ronny and the team on reception, Zmanuetha the lady who looks after housekeeping as well as all the staff in the cafe are caring and considerate. The hotel is an easy walk from SMN railway station and 15 minutes from The Uffizi and other landmarks. I highly recommend this hotel..

  Wonderful gem of a central hotel!

  I haven't written for a while but upon entering this hotel, I was inspired to begin again!The Boccaccio Hotel is just steps away from the tram stop and it only took about 15 minutes from the airport...quick, easy a day cists only €1.70,The gentleman in the reception was soooo inviting and kind...giving lots of information and providing a map where he marked out all of the best sights and things to do. I really appreciated that welcome!I had booked a single room and was surprised to see the layout...the bedroom was about 7,5 meters long and 2 meters wide with a window at one end end. The decor was a bit "tired" but matched the surroundings perfectly! The bed was at least 110cm wide and very comfy and the best part was that everything was SPOTLESS!The bathroom seemed to be newly renovated with silver grey Italian tiles,sparkling white fixtures, walk-in shower and a little stained-glass door which lead out to a roof terrace. The keys were electronic card keys and one could adjust the heat/ac easily right inside the door. Then and there, I decided to come back in the spring or summer to be able to experience everything this hotel (and Florence) has to offer!The hotel is within walking distance to just about everything and there are miles of narrow streets to explore all around. Not as touristy as one would expect but diverse enough to have something for everyone!I have not tried the hot shower or the breakfast yet, but will add on tomorrow.All I can say is that the price was realky great for a hotel with everything a solo traveller could wish for and I highly recommend the Boccaccia hotel to all!   I highly recommend Hotel Boccaccio

  I stayed at Hotel Boccaccio for a week in October 2025 and it was a fabulous experience!The hotel is clean, quiet and in a perfect location in the historic district of Florence, within walking distance of all major sites, restaurants, etc. The room I stayed in was spacious and well appointed.The Staff are exceptional and went to great lengths to help me book my tours, recommend restaurants and check in with me regularly on how I was doing (I was travelling solo). There is a breakfast buffet that was also excellent. Lots of fresh foods and the coffee barista made some of the best coffee that I had in Italy.I highly recommend Hotel Boccaccio!
