Location

Santa Maria Novella main train station is a few paces away and the famous museums and monuments including the Accademia delle Belle Arti that features Michelangelo's David, the cathedral and the Uffizi Palace as well as a selection of restaurants are to be found in the immediate vicinity. Bars and shopping venues are to be found about 100 m from the hotel and the nearest nightclub is some 500 m away.

Facility

The hotel has a lift and features 3 single rooms and 34 double rooms. English- and French-speaking staff at the reception are happy to assist guests at the reception desk round the clock. Check-in and check-out are available 24 hours a day. A baggage storage service and a safe are available. Wireless internet access allows guests to stay connected while on holiday.     I had a delightful experience in this hotel. It is both modern and traditional, with a fine continental breakfast in the morning, and a place to eat on the communal patio. I really liked their lobby, which was modern, chic, and had a small, intimate yet fully-stocked bar. Best of all, I was very fortunate to get the room right above the center window on the front, with a beautiful view of the Piazza dell'Indipendenza, and there was even a Caravaggio framed print above the bed!Conveniently walkable to the main centres of town and a quiet neighborhood to get some shuteye at night.     Lovely hotel. Very central and close to the train station. Staff were very helpful, especially Carlos who gave us ideas of lovely places to visit. All of the staff are very friendly. Highly recommend the hotel. It is a fantastic base and fabulous resturants close by.     Excellent hotel in a perfect location within easy walking distance of the train station and all the major attractions. Staff were all very polite and helpful and you received a voucher for a welcome cocktail on arrival. Breakfast was a good selection of Meats, cheeses, pastries, fruit, yoghurt, juice, coffee etc. The only slight negative was that we had a room at the front of the hotel and the traffic was quite noisy during the night. We would definitely stay at this hotel again if we return to Florence.     I booked this hotel based on the high reviews from multiple websites, including Trip Advisor. I wish I had dug deeper into the lower reviews, as these are exactly what I experience. You cannot enter the hotel at night unless someone from the hotel lets you in. This is not particularly safe as a woman when waiting for someone to let you in. The rooms do not really lock. As mentioned in other reviews, the beds are very hard and the bedding is very thin. The heat did not work in our room. The curtains were sheer, and it was very difficult to sleep, especially with jet lag, as the lights from the park across the street shone in the room all night. I went down to the breakfast buffet to find it covered in flies. The welcome staff was friendly, but this is not a very nice hotel. I do not recommend. I ended up checking out early despite having prepaid for the week, and went to another hotel.
