A comfortable and convenient base from which to explore the villages of Tuscany

    rating28 Dec 2019

We were a large family group consisting of our family of four and my sister in laws’ family of three and stayed three nights. The units were large, warm and comfortable. The mornings were a brisk -5 deg to 0 deg C but you’d never have known it in the unit. There was a refrigerator but no microwave oven. We stayed in late November so not many guests so the breakfast on offer in the dining area had a limited selection of food. Still tasty, but limited. When we first arrived early in the day so our rooms weren’t yet ready so we asked for recommendations of where to go until check-in. The young lady at the desk, whose name escapes me, was very helpful. (All staff we’re friendly and helpful)We ended up returning at 7pm we had such an interesting time exploring the roads and villages in the area. San Gimignano is not to be missed. Never got to thank her in person but her recommendations were spot on. The property is a little isolated so you do need a car to get around. It is very convenient to the Autostrada to Florence ( no traffic noise) and has a lovely rural backdrop. Prices were really good at this time of the year and we were very happy with it. We wouldn’t hesitate to return if we visit the area again. Francesca C, Front Office Manager at Chianti Village, responded to this review Dear Jim_CathyBlacktown,first of all, I would like to thank you and your Family for the preference accorded to the Chianti Village Resort. Then, thank you for your review and your kind words; your very detailed description will surely help other travelers to get an idea of our accommodation and the services offered. We really hope to have the pleasure of welcoming you back, perhaps in late Spring or Summer so that you can also take advantage of our beautiful swimming pool.Sending you a warm greeting from all the Chianti Village Morrocco Staff.Kindest Regards,Francesca Checcucci - Front Desk

    Great place to stay

    rating22 Aug 2019

We stayed here for 4 nights but after staying here we wished we were here for a much longer stay. The pool was a welcome delight as it was very hot during our stay. The room was huge and serviced daily, but what made our stay so very nice was the staff especially at dinner time in the restaurant we had a lot of fun with ordering as there English was not so good but we managed as I said it was a lot of fun and they could not have done more for us. You will need a car if you were to stay but it is very close to Florence and Siena as well as a hoist of small villages to visit I would highly recommend this place. It also has self contained room so you can bring all your food if you like. Francesca C, Front Desk - Reception at Chianti Village, responded to this review Dear Neil, thank you for your beautiful words spent for Chianti Village. it was a pleausure also for us that everything have been on your liking. we do our best to provide everybody beautiful experiences and to feel like homer.we are looking foreword to welcoming you and your wife.

    home away from home

    rating30 May 2019

We took a family holiday as new parents to a 4 month old baby with many concerns. It was very important for us to choose a suitable accommodation for our baby and which is convenient to travel around.even before we made the reservation the hotel staff answered all our questions and even made sure we have a bathtub for our baby! The apartment is well equipped with everything needed, the hotel is suitable for both families and friends or couples. A magical view, a true home away from home in Tuscany. It is highly recommended Francesca C, Reception at Chianti Village, responded to this review Dear Guest, thank you for your precious words to Chainti Villa. Perfect for good family vacation

    rating27 May 2019

We arrived at the end of May. Paolo, the receptionist was happy to assist with any request. They supplied us with cot for the baby and all instruments we needed. The apartment is nice and has a kitchen equipped with dishwasher, stove, microwave, large refrigerator and everything you need for a good meal and they also have a restaurant on site. We bought supplies in the near village, 5 min drive. The place is located in the middle of Tuscany, between Florence and Siena, close to all beautiful places. Francesca C, Reception at Chianti Village, responded to this review Dear Guest, thank you for these beautiful words for Chianti Village. We appreciate it a lot Because each day we try to do our best to garantee a beautiful stay to all our Guests.Thank you a lot again, looking forward to welcome you again.Best Regards,Francesca

    More Motel than Hotel

    rating30 Sept 2018

As a family of five we booked a two room apartment, so we had a double room, a single and the sofa bed made up, which did not have a duvet or blanket on it, only sheets. My children had to go to bed in jumpers as it was cold in the evenings and they did not have another duvet for us and the heating was not switched on until mid October! The bathroom was really not big enough for us and the shower was tiny with a mouldy curtain. Hangers in wardrobes all broken. So breakfast... it consisted of the tiniest crusty rolls, croissants and processed ham & cheese slices, we asked for fresh fruit, they didn’t have any. The restaurant closed at 10am and everyone disappeared. so no way of getting anything to drink after that. I would recommend they if staying here you need to come fully equipped with food items for your room, don’t expect any sort of service, you are pretty much on your own. Taxi’s were non existent so hiring a car would be a definite must! Staff really not bothered about helping you out at all, it was a real let down for us. Kids liked the pool and I think that is the only positive! Francesca C, Reception at Chianti Village, responded to this review Dear Jane, First of all thank you for the preference accorded to Chainti Village. We are really sorry about your stay was not to your liking, especially if the staff was not helpful in some situations; we do our best to ensure a unique and enjoyable stay, we try to be, if possible, at complete disposal of our guests. I wanted to clarify that Taxi, being in the country and in near a small country, there are not many and therefore we must organize to be able to guarantee them, in fact we suggest everyone to take a car. Also bar is a separate management, they manage the bar and restaurant deciding the opening or closing of the service. however I hope that you enjoyed something here in our beautiful territory of Chainti.Best Regards,Francesca
