    - Wonderful historic room, painted ceiling, gorgeous furniture, good WiFi - Delicious continental breakfast, fresh coffee on request from lovely staff- Very convenient location, 10 mins walk to edge of centre, 15 more mins to Ponte Vecchio- Great air conditioning, shampoo & conditioner & body wash & hairdryer provided- Easy to enter late in evening, enter code given by reception & push right wooden door hard- Historic windows give no soundproofing to street noise, very loud vehicles all night- Loud echoey corridors, staff make loud noise with laundry bags at 12/1am (got so little sleep that stamped wrong ticket on tram by accident, €40 fine)- Nowhere nice to sit during the day, garden actually belongs to restaurant next door and is only accessible during breakfast or during lunch/dinner if you pay (indoor seating is 4 chairs in corridor next to vending machine)- Manager & male receptionist very insulting & unhelpful (was offered gift in writing when I mentioned the above, but gift not given in person)- Bathroom tatty, only hot water from tap

    We loved Francesca (Great English speaker, great heart) , Donato ( Attentive and professional) and Jeffrey the coffee barista ( he likes Texas bbq) . Lovely multilingual staff.We stayed at Hotel Cimabue for three nights and had a very comfortable experience. The air conditioning worked well, which was especially appreciated during the warm days. The hotel is in an older building, but it’s well maintained and offers good value for the price. It’s also conveniently located near restaurants, attractions, and public transportation. A great base for exploring Florence!We will return for sure.

    Best staff ever but poor upkeap

    We were greeted warmly and with the nicest feeling. First problem is unlike the advertizing the hotel is a good 20 min walk from the old city snd the car park is even farther away- 30 min walk from old city.the room looks warm and cozy but very poorely maintained. had electrical issues and broken toilet seat that was not mended althoughrepetedly requested. last night could not sleep until passed midnight. it turns out the dining room functions as restaurant right outside room so noisy!!again STAFF IS SUPER NICE

    Avoid room 232. The room is very small. The furniture consists of a shabby wardrobe with one bottom drawer (filled with a blanket), a childrens' sized dressing table, and bedside shelves (with peeling dirty paint) pulling off their screw fixings. Anything shiny slid on to the floor. There was nowhere else to put our clothes and we were forced to live out of our suitcase. The only electric socket to take an electric converter was underneath the dressing table powering the kettle. We had five appliances which needed charging: we had to go on our knees to do this in between using the kettle. The shower room and toilet was small and narrow. I am five foot eleven and I had to sit sideways on the toilet or my knees hit the wall. There was no plug in the hand basin. No fridge was provided. The bed was comfortable. The staff were lovely. Our holiday was spoilt by this sub standard accommodation.
