    Lovely hotel, with elegant fixtures and helpful staff. Excellent location. The breakfast room is gorgeous, and the buffet is generous. Our room was disappointing, unfortunately. Zero view (above an alley, all we could see was a wall and flat grey roof). And the smallest shower I have ever seen; a larger person literally would not be able to use it. There is no place other than the shower floor to place soap or shampoo., and no matter how you angle the shower head, the floor gets wet. , Direttore generale at Hotel Degli Orafi, responded to this review we thank you very much for your kind and honest review.     The front desk staff are available and helpful in securing rides and giving suggestions to navigate the city. We stayed in the ‘classic’ section of the hotel verses the newly renovated area.     We have just spent four wonderful nights at this hotel.The location is ideal for seeing the city and overlooks the river and Ponte Veccio. The staff are warm, friendly and helpful The breakfast rivals any thst I have had in my travels worldwide.     The wonderful experience began with the concierge service. I requested transportation to pick me up at the train station, and it was very efficient. Check-in was smooth, and my room was ready with everything I expected.The room was excellent for one person, with a safe, kettle, mini fridge, a superb bathroom and towels, and a lovely fragrance diffuser.The overall atmosphere was very peaceful, perfect for a good night's sleep. The breakfast was plentiful and delicious, and the views from the room, the dining room, and the rooftop bar were unforgettable. A team of professionals managed the dining room with great efficiency.The same fragrance is present in the lobby, creating a very welcoming atmosphere. Similarly, there are different areas for reading, relaxing, or chatting.The same key card used to access your room also activates the electricity—a very clever design choice.The location is everything you could ask for and more: the Ponte Vecchio, the museums, the city center, and just around the corner, one of Florence's best restaurants, Antico Fattore, with excellent food and service.     I've stayed at the Hotel degli Orafi several times since 2002, and it's a perfect stay every time. The service is attentive, the beds are so comfortable, the views are amazing, and you can't beat the location. Oh, and the breakfast is outstanding!
