Multilingual staff (English, German, French) at the 24-hour reception desk are happy to answer any questions.     We checked into the hotel at 18, when we get in the room, we realized that the air conditioner was not working, after dinner we returned to the room and informed the reception that the air conditioner was not working, the technical service came but it was not successful, if there was an alternative room, we requested to be changed in the room, but the reception said that the hotel was full and they gave us a heater, 10 minutes did not pass, the electric fuses of the room threw it, when I went down to the reception and reported the situation, they said that there were 2 alternative rooms, the air conditioner did not work again in the first room we looked at, 3. The air conditioner in the room worked and we changed room around 11 pm, as the room was facing the road, all the sound of the tram and the street was coming in, these were not enough, the hotel's fire detector was activated and they couldn't silence it for 15 minutes, our night was ruined. The tram ended at 2 and started again at 6, a tram passed every 10 minutes. We couldn't sleep at all. In general, the hotel is very old. In Italy, smoking’s banned in public places.As all the hotels located in the downtown, are recommended for people who are looking for the convenience of reaching the points of tourist interest and not, for those looking for the tranquility of the countryside we are not one of the most mentioned.Hotel Delle Nazioni is not brand new, but it is comfortable and our rooms and bathrooms are clean and straightforward.Maybe you wrote this negative review because you asked for a refund that we didn’t agree on since you still used our service, of course you’re free to give us whatever rating you like.     Good position n services but definitly Too noisy for sleep......     ADEQUATE FOR BUDGET TRAVEL - Good Breakfast

    Basic and adequate - Good proximity to attractions - Trams were a bit noisy at night - Very convenient to railway station - Area is a bit sketchy at night with a large number of people loitering about in a threatening manner. I've travelled the world and been to some sketch places / riots etc and my gut told me this was not a place to be after dark. second night there a Minister or Prime Minister was in town and the police presence was significantly ramped up.     Great choice for a visit to Florence

    Fantastic recent stay at the Delle Nazioni.We stayed for 2 nights for our honeymoon travelling around Italy, in a Superior room with city view- what a great surprise this was. We were expecting a view of a street maybe, buildings/general city life etc. Instead we got a fantastic view of the Duomo. Would definitely recommend upgrading and we really appreciated having a balcony. We spent a lot of time out on this, soaking up the atmosphere.The room itself was practical, very clean and the bed was extremely comfortable. The shower took a bit of playing around with to get to a temperature that was suitable to us- this is very much an individual thing however. Breakfast was typical continental breakfast fare served in a pleasant breakfast room. It never felt chaotic or too busy and the food was simple but tasty- especially the croissants. All the staff that we came across were very friendly and helpful. On checkin we were given a city map and recommendations for places to eat. A highlight for us was the acknowledgement that we were on our honeymoon- shortly after checking in, we received a bottle of prosecco and a letter from the hotel management congratulating us. This was such a kind and thoughtful gesture and was very much appreciated. The hotel is in a great location, literally opposite to the main railway station (Firenze Santa Maria Novella). There is slight nice if you have windows/doors open from the station as other reviewers have commented on, this is to be expected when staying in such a central location of a busy city. Coming from a busy city ourselves, we were used to this and it didn’t cause us any issues. From the hotel, it is approx. a 10 minute walk to the Duomo, with plenty of shops, bars and restaurants along the way.Would we stay here again and recommend to others? Absolutely. The hotel is a friendly and convenient base to explore Florence and the wider Tuscany area and we were quite sad to leave in all fairness.     Great Moderate Hotel Option

    Solid 3-star hotel located close to the train station and about 20 minutes from the main square. Beds were memory foam and comfortable. Breakfast included multiple hot items, including eggs and pancakes. Everything was clean and comfortable. Hotel staff was kind and helpful.
