Terrible! Spend a bit more and go somewhere else

    rating25 Jun 2023

Great location - in the heart of the square - couldn’t ask for better location but the positives stop there. First, there are always people loitering and smoking right outside the entrance. You have to walk thru a cloud of smoke to get inside. Then there are 50+ steps to climb up to get to the rooms! They claim to have an elevator but it barely fits 1 person (and maybe a small bag). Try lugging luggage for a family of 4 up all those stairs! Not fun! Then the rooms are large enough but stink like smoke! Plus there are literal holes in the walls and it’s not the cleanest. The bathroom is large but the shower is the smallest I’ve ever seen. If you are taller than 5’8”, you won’t fit. Also, the walls are paper thin - you can hear everything! Do not stay here. Spend a bit more and go to one if the hotels in the square instead.

    Unbelievable Location!!

    rating05 Apr 2023

We went for location over luxury and boy did we get the most amazing location!! The Duomo was almost touching distance !! The bells were amazing to hear ( but when the windows were shut we got peace and quiet). To walk out the door and right into the thick of the activity of Florence, was a wonderful experience. The B and B was clean, we were given a kettle and cups and tea bags when I asked if we could make tea. We really did have a comfortable sleep and we were allowed to leave our bags for the whole day we checked out which was great! There was an amazing lift up to the B and B ( but a flight of stairs to get to the lift so not accessible for those with mobility issues). We had such a memorable time. Thankyou so much to the staff.

    Just one night

What is good of this b&b is a great view and location.. you are in the center of the town.. everything is near. We took a room with a small area.. I guess my hubby didn’t know the difference of the room. They have air conditioning, blower, coffee machine and teas.the bed is not bad and they have a big mirror in the wall. But we got bathroom in common so we have to share to other room. In the morning they prepare your breakfast with your request beverage. The woman there is friendly.

    GREAT LOCATION

    rating30 Aug 2019

This small hotel is located on Piazza del Duomo with the entrance across from the Baptistery. We stayed here for 7 days from 04/07 – 04/14. The staff was very accommodating as our train was originally scheduled to arrive S.N.M. at 1230, which would have left plenty of time to arrive prior to the 1300 check-in cutoff time. However, when we arrived on the floor of the rooms to our surprise we were greeted by a staff member who had stayed until we finally arrived at 1322. This made the check in very easy. However, if you arrive later they will send you the codes to both doors and upon entry your keys are on a table in an envelope just inside the door. There is a lift that will take you to the B & B but as with most European elevators it is only large enough for 1 person and 1 suitcase. There is a flight of stairs that must be climbed to access the elevator. Our room #4 (a triple) had a partial view of the Duomo, Baptistery and Campanile and a private bath. A very nice breakfast is provided each morning and if you notify housekeeping, they will even accommodate early breakfasts if needed. GREAT SERVICE. Breakfast includes coffee/tea or cocoa, OJ, croissants, Melba toast and assorted jellies. There are also umbrellas for use located in the foyer. Total for the 7 days was €957 and well worth the price as you can not beat the location and hospitality.

What a view! We loved it here.

This was definitely our favorite place we stayed in Italy. The location makes this place amazing. You open the door and BAM you are in the heart of beautiful Florence, the place where the Renaissance began, steps away from the beauitful baptistery. It got even better when we learned room 2 has a view of the Duomo/baptistery. There was also a little lift 1-2 people could use to get up the stairs. It was cute and very helpful. The room itself was small but it had everything we needed. We decided we love B&Bs. We stayed in a hotel once in Italy and it was nice to have some staff around and some services, but it was kind of boring and felt a little too American. We stayed in several airbnbs that gave us a very authentic experience but it did come with a little extra stress of figuring out when and where to meet someone to get the key or where to buy toilet paper. But a B&B is the perfect in between. Still a very unique and authentic experience but with some services. We could check in while the staff was there if before 1330 or if not they gave us all the door codes we needed to get in. There were umbrellas we borrowed when it started to rain. We also got breakfast the one day we slept in long enough to get it (0830)
