    Perfect spot to spend the night before flight in the morning.

    Checked in early, paid a small fee - OK for the convenience. Shuttle to airport (5 minutes away), lovely outdoor seating for our coffee/breakfast, variety of choices for drinks/dinner at the hotel. Used the lift. Nifty balcony off our room. Helpful and friendly staff. Comfy lounge off dining area. Happily recommend The Franchi.

    A cracking secret, near to the airport

    On arrival at the Franchi late at night it looked nice enough. However on arrival you immediately find the best thing about this hotel. The staff could not be more helpful. From dropping off baggage early, only to find they dropped the bags in our room when we arrived later. They are very polite and could not be more helpful. This hotel is clean and comfortable and the only slight criticism would be a slightly noisy aircon unit, but this was really nit picking. The outside area was a wonderful place for a morning coffee or evening beer. I would also recommend the airport transport which was very reasonable and arrived right on time. Thank you to all the staff

    Lovely, renovated boutique hotel at an affordable price

    Lovely renovation of an older hotel. Rooms and bathroom were good. It’s super convenient to the Florence airport hence my stay. I thought about renting at a more upscale hotel for 50% more but stuck with this one and I’m happy I did. I was only in the place for a matter of hours before my flight back to the USA and it worked out great. Hotel staff recommended a good restaurant nearby and we’re very accommodating. The entire day was seamless. It’s a solid four star hotel, But don’t get too excited about the amenities, as that’s not what we’re paying for here. It still has a lovely dining area and reception bar. I’d stay here again if I travel to Florence.

    I was unprepared for the tiny elevator but we made it work. I was able to stand while my husband folded the wheelchair. The location, so close to the airport was perfect. We asked for a cab to be called the evening before and sure enough in the morning there it was.

    Functional and clean, if you can get in

    Functional and clean, initial thoughts on this hotel prove incorrect. It is close to the airport, in a residential district of schools and roadworks. You won’t going romantic walks from the front door. But the rooms are clean and work well (don’t expect the frills in some of the photos) and the bar/cafe downstairs is a big plus - friendly and good food and wine.But the entry system - emails (in Italian of course) and an incomprehensible phone lock key which you need before you even get into the hotel out of the rain are a huge minus
