  This is my second time at this hotel. I didn’t book it nor would I ever. The hotel was part of an 11 day tour package. This is supposed to be four star hotel. That’s a joke!Down a short dark, two door hallway you enter a room with the lights off. Because of its heavy curtains and the black shutters the room felt like walking into a dark cave. Two years later the bed is still hard as a rock and the pillows are hard, flat and uncomfortable. This time it’s not just my opinion, but my partners opinion as well. The room was the smallest of all the hotels we stayed in. If you use a flat iron or curling iron, you better bring an extension cord. The closest outlet to the bathroom is way on the far side of the TV and there is no mirror in the bedroom area. The following morning, the lights in the bathroom wouldn’t come on. I tried everything until I was forced to turn the overhead light on in the bedroom in order to turn the bathroom light on. This of course was not a good option for my daughter who was still sleeping and wanted to stay that way. Talking to others during breakfast, we found they also had the same problem with their bathroom light. As for the breakfast buffet, it was very limited and lukewarm.Lastly, they give you this huge chunky heavy metal keychain that you’re forced to carry around with you all day. Yay! It’s not far from the center of town or Michelangelo‘s David and it’s about five minutes from the train station. But this wouldn’t be my choice for the hotel to stay at.

  Excellent location, convenient for all the main tourist sites. Room was very clean and quiet. Buffet breakfast had great selection. All the staff very friendly and helpful.   Stayed 3 nights in the Albani Firenze. Overall our stay was good. The hotel is in a very good location, near train station and other sites. The hotel is old world, not our taste but charming, nevertheless Our room was comfortable, clean, quiet with good amenities. No shower stall. Had to step into bathtub to take a shower which was not very convenient. Breakfast was excellent with plenty of options. Not sure why others complained. Our biggest complaint was that the room was very warm and stuffy. When we opened the terrace doors to get air, we had many mosquitoes. We complained and got a fan after asking twice, however it was still too warm. The front desk receptionists were not very friendly and welcoming, the same with restaurant staff.   Disappointing!

  No Internet available. When queried we were informed that there was no reception because of the numerous high buildings surrounding the hotel. The breakfast is the worst I have had in a long time. There was a minimal selection to choose from and there was no change in choice during our stay of 5 days!The room was cosy to put it mildly! Wardrobe doors had to be closed to enable one to move from the entrance hall into the sleeping area. Same in the bathroom as the door could not be opened if the toilet was in use!!Staff were mainly helpful and the hotel was clean. Convenient central location.   Unstable hotspot instead of proper wifi. Front staff is cold and unwelcoming The hotel does not gym and the gym is next building another property - very inconvenient.
