  Hotel with great location but slightly noisy

  Hotel location was great, near the central station and was in an amazing place to explore Florence. We appreciate that city noise cannot be avoided. However with all rooms being on the same level as the lobby, we were awoken by the general noises of the lobby and breakfast. Wouldn’t be an issue for a heavy sleeper. Staff were friendly and the lobby was very welcoming and smelled great upon arrival.

  Rooms were nice sized - bathrooms were clean and well-maintained - a bit on the small side but they were clean and that's all that matters!!Beds were comfy - AC was a bit on the lower side so it got hot at night. The front desk was so friendly and welcoming - Andrea was wonderful. She gave us a map, some local tips on where to go/where to eat. It was great.All in all - highly recommend staying here.

  Tiniest shower with curtian touching you while bathing

  Pros: 1) Walking distance to a train station and major attractions2) Clean (except shower curtain door)3) Working AC (you have to ask for remote at the front)4) Spacious room (we had family room for 3)5) Fridge6) 24h front desk7) free designated storage room for luggageCons:1) This is the tiniest shower 1 ever saw in ltaly, like your whole body will be touching curtain door all the time. Yes, you've read it correctly: shower doors made out of the plastic material curtain. There is no way its cleaned or sanitized properly because you can not clean it the same way as a regular glass door with a sponge and of coz they don't put it in the washer machine after each guest. Felt gross while taking a shower.2) Since it is an old apartment building, you can hear all your neighbors3) Only 2 big towels and 2 small ones . When I asked for more towels at the front desk and explained the tile floor in the room was freezing ...I've been told I have enough towels, and we're given only 1 extra. 4) It's difficult to use a bidet coz it's so close to a wall. 5) When we said, we would be skipping PAID breakfast in the morning (coz of early train) and asked for water only, they filled our bottles from the sink (although they had big commercial bottles next to it)6) You have to leave the key with a front desk person EACH time you are going out. This is the most bizarre rule I ever heard.

  Our 3rd time here. 5 minute walk from train station. Wonderful hotel. Great staff. All the main attractions in Florence within a 10 to 15 minute walk. Can’t say enough about the staff. Each time we come they remember us and we get a great big smile. Rooms basic, breakfast continental. They always offer suggestions on what to do. We have been so lucky as to have coffee offered anytime of day. Best hotel for price and service

  Good base for exploring Florence and Tuscany.

  This is our second time staying here. The accommodations are spare but comfortable. You have everything you need because you'll be spending little time in the room. There is so much to do in Florence and the surrounding area and the hotel's location allows you easy access to both the city and the train station for day trips. The real selling point of the hotel is the wonderfully accommodating staff. They were always available and ready to assist. The breakfast was typical continental with coffee (including cappuccino), pastries, fruit and yogurt. All covid precautions were followed by staff and we always felt safe. The cleanliness should also be noted. There is still so much of Florence and Tuscany we'd like to explore I'm sure we will return. When we do we will stay at the Lombardi.
