  How this hotel has a 4.3 rating is beyond me. It is seriously the worst place I have ever visited in my life. The room oh my god small on a main road with cars, lorry’s, people and bikes going past shouting horns hooting. You can sit on the toilet wash your feet’s and brush your teeth all at the same time. The TV in the room comes with an old remote control not in line with the TV and that was a challenge in itself. Not that I watch TV myself but is important to my husband. The air conditioning went out with the ark and again a chore to get it to work. They also charged 6 euros per night in city tax we usually paid between 2.5 and 3 euros per night. This is a 3 star hotel so The breakfast for me in edible only had cornflakes and a cup of tea. On our last morning cleaners were walking through the dining room whilst people having breakfast with dirty linen, mops and other cleaning stuff all past the so called food. No kettle in room they do have a drink station but only has tea and no milk. The hot water is lukewarm. Florence train station is mad get there early and be prepared. Florence itself is gorgeous for me the hotel completely spoilt the experience to the point that I have fed back to the travel agent. Fortunately we use the same travel agent all the time if this was a once off booking just to this hotel I would not book with them again. Great places to visit in Florence love the patisserie and wine windows :) it was very hot during our stay take mosquitoe cream, hat and sun cream. When the vast majority of guests leave positive feedback and only one paints such an extreme picture, perhaps it’s worth asking yourself a few questions.Now, to address your points specifically:You chose to stay in a hotel located in the very heart of Florence, just steps from the city’s main attractions. Naturally, there is some traffic and city noise. If you were looking for total silence, booking in the center of a major European city was not the right choice.Our bathrooms are standard, functional, and entirely in line with what’s expected from a city-center hotel. If you expected spa-sized bathrooms, then perhaps a different category of accommodation would have been more appropriate.The TV and remote work perfectly. If you had trouble using them, a quick request at the front desk would have solved it. We are always available to help, but we cannot fix issues that are never reported.The air conditioning works just fine and is extremely easy to use – just one button to turn it on and off. Frankly, it’s a system so simple that even a child could operate it.The city tax is set by the Municipality of Florence, not by the hotel. It is clearly displayed and mandatory. Penalizing us in your review over a government-imposed fee of €6 per night is not only unfair, but completely uninformed, especially in one of the most touristic cities in Europe.As for breakfast, we offer a wide, international selection, both sweet and savory. Your description of “cornflakes and tea” is simply false and does not reflect reality.Our housekeeping team operates on a fixed schedule. If staff were collecting linen during breakfast, it was to ensure rooms were cleaned on time. That’s part of providing efficient service.Regarding the kettle: we do not provide kettles in the rooms for hygiene reasons. Unfortunately, past misuse by guests (doing highly inappropriate and frankly disgusting things with them) has led us to this decision. Instead, we provide a 24/7 beverage station with tea and hot water. Milk is available upon request.You even complain about the Florence train station, which is a public facility completely unrelated to our hotel. At this point, we must ask: were you truly prepared to travel?Throughout your stay, you never reported any of these so-called "issues." In person, everything seemed fine. It’s very easy to write a harsh review from the comfort of your home, but it's neither fair nor respectful to those who work hard every day to welcome guests from all over the world.We're glad you enjoyed Florence itself, but when it comes to your hotel experience, we must firmly distance ourselves from this review, which is full of exaggerations, inaccuracies, and unconstructive criticism.We sincerely hope not to host you again, as mutual respect is essential.

  This hotel is a 3 star not 4 as rated by Jet 2.Great locationClean roomFriendly staffBreakfast okay. Unfortunately it did not start until 7:30 so we missed two breakfasts due to early excursion one day and early flight home on the last morning.No coffee/tea facilities in roomNo English channels on TvRoom was really small and we struggled to open window in room.Very glad u took ear buds as it was also very noisyThanks , Altro at Hotel Cosimo de' Medici, responded to this review Thank you for taking the time to share your comments. Please note that we offer breakfast boxes to take away on request when plans do not match our breakfast hours, and we would have been happy to arrange this for you had we been informed in advance.For any other issues, such as the window or the TV channels, our staff is always available and eager to help; unfortunately, we did not receive any notification during your stay and therefore were unable to assist you accordingly.We hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back and provide an even more comfortable experience.

  Noisy and basic

  Very central and as a consequence could have been noisy from the street but effective double glazing sorted that out. However there are 4 hotels using the same entrance one on top of another and the actual building itself is noisy. No tea tray in the room and no mirror in the bedroom area. There is one in the bathroom but not full length! Breakfast as basic with no fruit.   Little gem of a hotel

  A little gem of a hotel tucked away in a courtyard 3 minutes walk from the main train station. Spotlessly clean room , comfortable bed with spare bedding & pillows provided in the bedroom cupboard. The bathroom as mentioned in previous reviews is small, but serviceable & very clean Breakfast buffet was simple but plentiful before setting off for a days sight seeing - all within very easy walking distance. Plenty of bars and restaurants in the side streets nearby.   Great Hotel ideal location

  Such lovely welcoming staff, very helpful, very clean spacious room and bathroom, very clean, bed was great and changed every day, Breakfast was simple but very nice to start the day. Small balcony was beautiful to sit in the evening . Ideal location. Everything was walking distance.
