  We are still stuck in this hotel while writing this review. We are booked for four nights through our travel agent. This is the third night.The air-conditioning was not working at all when we checked into the room. A technician was sent but it could not be fixed. As the hotel was full, we were told that we would be moved to another room the following morning and to pack up all our stuff before heading out on our day tour and the hotel staff would move us to another room during the day.When we got back from our tour on day 2, we were told the air-conditioning is now fixed and to return to the old room. However, the air-conditioning was operating at room temperature and not blowing cool, air-conditioned air.We complained for the 3rd. time this morning and asked them to fix it during the day. We just returned from our day tour but the air-conditioner is only blowing air at room temperature. I complained for the fourth time and the reception accepted this and have just sent us a small table fan.Day 3 is also going to be an uncomfortable night.This is not the service one would expect from a four star hotel.There were even mosquitos in the room the last 2 nights.The hotel seems quite unconcerned that the air-conditioning has not been functional for three full days.

  We had a wonderful experience during our recent stay at Hotel Embassy in Florence. The staff was consistently friendly and helpful, the breakfast service was excellent, and our rooms were impeccably maintained. We especially appreciated the quiet location, which allowed us to get restful sleep and fully enjoy our days exploring the city. Our family highly recommends Hotel Embassy and we will happily stay there again on a future visit to Florence.

  We'll start with the good points.Its close to the train station.Our room was relatively quiet.The room was clean & kept refreshed each day.Breakfast was reasonably good, though don't drink the coffee from the self serve point in the food area - its not great! Instead ask the wait staff for your choice of coffee & it will be barista made. (Included in price)Staff are friendly. Bed is comfy.The areas for improvement! 3floz paper cups provided in the bedroom rather than china. They are pathetic for making any kind of hot drink & after a day of exploration a good cup of tea would be very welcome. For a supposedly 4* hotel, this is rubbish!Our room gets no sun during the day & as the temperature has regularly dropped below 10 degrees each night our room is quite cold & the skinniest of quilts provided is quite inadequate. We asked housekeeping for a second quilt.The air-conditioning appears to go up to 28deg, but reception have told me it will only blow out cold air!The lighting in our room has been incorrectly wired so you have all the lights on or none at all!Not very environmentally friendly or any kind of room ambience! The bathroom, although spacious has been badly designed with a small single cubicle shower tucked into the smallest corner leaving masses of space under utilised elsewhere. Despite all this space the sink has been mounted so close to the shower the door will not open all the way without hitting the corner of the sink, so a very high potential for smashing. Not great if you're in bare feet!For a significantly expensive room this is not what I would expect from a 4* hotel & frankly wouldn't rate this more than 3*I feel it is quite arrogant of the hotel management to think that offering a room of this standard is ok perhaps thinking that as tourists were just another number/quick buck!

  This hotel was very good. We arrived late afternoon to a polite welcome at the hotel with everything explained clearly to us. The room was very good, cleaned every day. The breakfast for me is very good, with a mix of food offerings, anyone moaning about the breakfast needs to adjust their expectations. Staff were really polite. This will be our go to hotel in Florence if the high standards are maintained. It’s literally 4 min walk from the station.

  Great hotel, clean rooms, comfy bed

  My wife and I stayed here at this hotel for two weeks, and were a bit nervous about the negative reviews.All I can say is that we really enjoyed staying here.Rooms were clean and tidied , fresh towels every day & bed made up. Always so clean & bathroom cleaned daily . Room was quiet and hardly no road noise. Wonderful air conditioning. Other reviews said showered didn’t work, and but we didn’t experience any issues.We did stay at the front building of the hotel, and booked a superior room, which we thought was fantastic.Also people mentioned breakfast was poor, but I disagree. It’s not England… full fry ups aren’t everywhere!There was a good continental selection.Only downside was that there was no bar, but hey, you’re in Florence… plenty of Tratorias everywhere!The hotel is in a good position as it’s quiet, but close enough to the train station.Lovely time, thankyou hotel team
