    Beautiful hotel, great location

    rating09 May 2026

This is a beautiful hotel located close to all the major attractions of Florence. Lots of restaurants and shops nearby. The staff here are great, very friendly. Rooms are beautifully decorated. Comfortable pillows and beds, fluffy towels and robes. The included breakfast was really nice as well. Would love to stay here again.

Very disappointing and misleading - not a five-star experience

    rating06 May 2026

Very disappointing and misleading - not a five-star experienceWe stayed at this hotel on the nights of 13th and 14th March after making a last-minute booking for a family studio at €386 per night (prepaid, with no alternative booking options). On arrival late in the evening, we were informed that the room we had booked, a family studio with a separate bedroom and sitting room, was not available. We were given an alternative room and, given how late it was, we reluctantly accepted it for the night. However, by the next morning it was clear that the accommodation was wholly inadequate and did not match what had been advertised. The room was extremely dark, with very little natural light due to high windows facing a wall. The bathroom was also not fit for purpose, with only a bathtub and an outdated, poorly functioning showerhead that made showering very difficult.More generally, the hotel felt dated and worn throughout. It was far below what would reasonably be expected of a five-star boutique hotel and, in reality, felt closer to a tired three-star property. The photos and descriptions online are very misleading.Breakfast was equally disappointing. There was no proper buffet, just a few cakes, and the à la carte options were limited and poorly prepared. For example, a “cheese omelette” was served with a slice of processed cheese placed on top. Breakfast was also served in a dim, basement-like room that felt damp and uninviting. The communal areas were small, basic, and lacking in comfort.Overall, the experience was so poor that we decided to leave after the first night and booked alternative accommodation at our own expense. We requested a refund for the unused second night and were told we would be contacted. After a very long wait we finally received a reply, as it was expected, that we are not eligible for any refund since we moved out of the hotel after the first night on our own initiative.Having to pay in full upfront for a room that was misrepresented, and then not even receiving the room booked, is deeply unfair and misleading.

    Family of 4

    rating29 Mar 2026

Was a family of 4. The location is good. But the hotel shows wear and very peculiarly furniture choices bathroom could use updating daughter turned on jets and black debris came out. Under no circumstances is this luxury or 5 stars. It’s more like a 3/4 star hotel. Plus side size rooms was large with high ceilings. Reception Firenze Number Nine, Owner at Hotel Number Nine, responded to this review Dear Guest,Thank you for your candid review and for choosing to stay with us as a family. I'm pleased the generous room size and high ceilings offered some comfort, and that our location served you well. But I want to address the points you raised with the seriousness they deserve. The experience your daughter had with the jets is not acceptable, plain and simple. I've had our maintenance team open a full inspection of that suite's plumbing to ensure this does not happen again. I'm very sorry this occurred during your stay.I also hear you on the furniture choices and the general sense of wear. Our design language is deliberately a bit eclectic—it's not for everyone—but wear is not a design choice, and we are actively refreshing areas of the hotel. Your observations help guide that work. While I'm glad you still found enough to leave four stars, we take no comfort in falling short of the five-star standard we hold ourselves to. Should Florence call you back, I'd be grateful for the opportunity to provide the experience you should have had the first time. With appreciation for your honesty,Aditi Secci MorettiGeneral ManagerHotel Number Nine

    Great place to stay!!

    rating22 Mar 2026

Hotel Number Nine is an amazing place to stay by everything you could want in Florance. The hotel is well appointed and had really great staff we were able to work with on trips and places to eat. We had a triple room / suite that was stunning and large. A double size white pool tub and massive shower. Breakfast at Daisy’s was a great way to start the day each morning. Only disappointment was we did not get to see a jazz show at Daisy’s in the evening on the dates we were there, but we were there Sunday through Wednesday. They posted the show dates and our schedule did not align. Would stay here again without question. Walking distance to every major landmark we wanted to visit. Reception Firenze Number Nine, Owner at Hotel Number Nine, responded to this review Dear Guest,Thank you so much for staying with us at Hotel Number Nine and for sharing such kind feedback.I'm very glad our team could help you with dining and trip recommendations. Helping our guests discover the best of Florence is what we love doing most. It's also wonderful to hear that your suite gave you a comfortable space to relax—those large soaking tubs are definitely a favorite after a long day of walking the city.I will be sure to share your compliments with the morning team at Daisy’s.I am genuinely sorry you missed the live jazz. We currently schedule our music for the weekend, so it unfortunately didn't line up with your Sunday to Wednesday dates. We would absolutely love to host you again. Please feel free to reach out to me directly the next time you visit, and we will make sure you get to experience an evening show at Daisy's.Best regards,AditiGeneral Manager, Hotel Number Nine
