    Stayed for 4 nights with a friend. Loved our room with a cute terrace. The bistro next door is a great option for an evening meal( we went 3 times!!)Staff were great: friendly, helpful, provided useful recommendations. Walked in and out of the city centre each day and got to see nd enjoy the local neighborhood.     So when we first got there we was a little miffed how far outta the centre we was, (it was a TUI booking) but we found it to be perfect, as the walks was amazing, a beautiful river a few minutes walk, which I loved to go for early morning walk, The hotel itself was clean, tidy, comfortable, staff was extremely polite and helpful, and at night so quite , Riccardo Ceseri, Direttore generale at Hotel Grifone Firenze, responded to this review Dear Blake,thank you very much for sharing your experience.     Hour walk from train station and air conditioning is off until May 1st.

    This hotel is an hour walk from the train station! Not centrally located, but hotel is pleasant and staff is friendly and helpful. This hotel advertises itself as having air conditioning, which is one of the reasons we selected it, only to be told that air is “not permitted” until May 1 - regardless of days in the 80s before then.

    Really loved this hotel. From the moment we arrived we received a great welcome. The hotel is clean and bright and with great facilities.We were only there for one night so didn't have the opportunity to use all of the facilities, but a nice breakfast room and good choice available.Location is a little away from the city centre (about 35 min walk, 20 min bus ride or 15/20 min taxi which costs about 20/25 Euros).
