    Santa Maria Novella Hotel is perfect quiet class and comfort in Central Florence

    Santa Maria Novella Hotel, located at the edge of the Santa Maria Novella square, is an experience in historically beautiful architecture and a warm and charming staff. Located just off the tram line from the airport, this small palace has become a truly wonderful and peaceful resting point which is located within easy walking distance to the Duomo and historic central Florence. A private roof top deck provides an experience of the nighttime City just outside your room. Class without ostentatious displays, a stay at Santa Maria Novella includes a full complimentary breakfast that is an experience in Italian cultural cuisine starting your day in peaceful comfort. An excellent restaurant and bar are located at street level in the hotel, and gelato is just next door. My fourth visit to this unique palace hotel included a quiet moment, peacefully alone in the Napoleon library to simply reflect the joy of this beautiful city.

    The hotel apartment was perfection

    Our family of 4 stayed in the apartments just down the road from the hotel. It was a beautiful spot, spotlessly clean with a balcony overlooking the square. Breakfasts in the hotel had lots of choice. Gorgeous spot to eat in the morning. The hotel is in a great location. Super close walking distance to the train station and to all the main sights in Florence. We were so happy we stayed here.

    Lovely hotel very near the train station. Off of a piazza and easy for taxi access. Easy walk to central Firenze. Room was spacious, bathroom was fairly luxurious. Generally speaking, this is a very nice 4 star. Not awesome, but I don't think anyone will be disappointed staying here. Front desk staff was extraordinarily helpful when it turned out one of our group left her passport back in Rome, the staff contacted the hotel in Rome who accessed the room safe, photocopied the passport and faxed to the hotel staff in Firenze. I would definitely add this to my "must stay again" hotel list.     Awesome location. Next to square where impromptu musicians play and sing. Incredible views from rooftop terrace. Fun bar /eating at outdoor tables for restaurant.     Great hotel! We took a taxi from the airport and paid €35. The hotel is very clean, we love the room on the 5th floor. No noise heard from outside. They cleaned our room everyday. Breakfast is served from 7am, with eggs, cheese, bacon and many others. The staff are all very friendly and we got a bottle of prosecco for my birthday! Lots of restaurants, gelateria and cafes around the area. Very close to the train station and tram. We love seeing the Duomo everyday, we love Florence and this hotel!
