Location

Thanks to its central location, the hotel provides an ideal point of departure for guests wishing to explore the historical sightseeing attractions, such as the cathedral, the Uffizi or the Ponte Vecchio. In addition, numerous shopping and entertainment venues of Florence are just a few minutes walk from the hotel. The transfer times to Firenze airport takes about 20 minutes (roughly 8 km from the hotel).

Facility

The hotel was built in 1893. 107 rooms, including 20 double rooms, are located on 5 storeys and can be reached by lift. The reception desk is open round the clock. A baggage storage service, a safe and a currency exchange service are available. Wireless internet access in public areas allows guests to stay connected. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The hotel has a range of facilities for guests with disabilities. The hotel has wheelchair-accessible facilities. There are a number of shops as well. Additional facilities include a playroom. Guests arriving by car can park their vehicles in the garage or in the car park. Rooms

Air conditioning and central heating ensure that rooms maintain comfortable temperatures. Guests can enjoy the view of the city from a balcony or terrace. Rooms have a double bed, a queen-size bed or a king-size bed. Separate bedrooms are available. Extra beds can be requested. A safe, a minibar and a desk are also available. Additional features include a mini fridge and a tea/coffee station.     This was my fourth visit to the Hotel Savoy and it did not disappoint. From the moment my family and I checked in to the time we left everything was handled with professionalism and courtesy. The staff is wonderful. They are always available to help with anything you may want or need. In addition housekeeping was so efficient and provided many extra special touches in the room. The fresh flowers, fruit and daily still and sparkling water was appreciated. The location of the hotel is a plus. It is centrally located by the Piazza Republica and is easy to get to restaurants, shopping, museums and attractions that Florence offers. I leave the Hotel Savoy with a heavy heart but with wonderful memories. I look forward to returning in the near future. Grazie Mille!

    We stayed 3 nights at Hotel Savoy. The location is great, as most things are within walking distance of the hotel. The attentiveness and service from everyone we encountered at the hotel exemplified excellent hospitality. Having our meals at Irene was a highlight as we really enjoyed sitting outside. The service in the bar was also terrific. There is more noise at night than I would prefer, but this would not prevent me from returning.     Hotel Savoy is the dream stay when in Florence. I spent 6 nights immersed in the Rocco Forte world and it was magical. From the moment you walk in the door you are made to feel welcome with continuous care shown by the entire team at every opportunity. As an Australian so far from home - I felt at home here. The location, suites, food, drinks, bar, restaurant and entire team are impeccable. The attention to detail is unmatched. Watch the world go by at the Irene Terrace or take a quiet moment and recharge in Bar Artemisia. I highly suggested a massage after all the steps around Florence. A truly magical experience.
