  Review for Hotel Spagna, FlorenceI stayed at Hotel Spagna in Florence with my family of four and was extremely disappointed with the experience.The room was very small for four people, with visible water stains on the ceiling and a generally dirty, poorly maintained environment. The bathroom was unhygienic — the sink and shower wouldn’t drain properly due to clogged hair from previous guests, which was unacceptable.There is no elevator, and reaching the room required climbing three flights of steep, narrow stairs, which was exhausting, especially with luggage.There were no basic amenities such as a kettle or iron, and when we asked if it was possible to use one, the staff laughed at us, which was both rude and unprofessional. In general, the staff were unfriendly and dismissive, making us feel unwelcome.To make matters worse, the air conditioner didn’t work, and the room felt like an oven — uncomfortable and almost unbearable.Unfortunately, I would not recommend this hotel. While Florence is beautiful, this accommodation made our stay much less enjoyable than it could have been

  Centrally located basic room for the night

  We stayed here for one night before moving on to several other cities. The location is great, found the hotel pretty quickly, it's close to the train station and other bars and cafes, and many of the central sights. In addition, the staff were really helpful and welcoming however the hotel itself is pretty basic. It was ok for one night.

  Convenient, but a dump

  The location is very convenient and close to the city center as well as the train station. However, the place is kind of a dump. The renovated wallpaper is falling off already and the shower lining is falling off. You can tell very little effort has gone into maintenance. We also only had a sheet on our bed (no comforter).

  We stayed here for a few nights for a quick trip to Florence. Pros: - good location, close to the train station, bars and cafes, and many of the central sights - really lovely staff who are helpful and welcoming Cons: Mostly everything else. - the rooms are somewhat newly renovated but not in a nice way. The wall paper is odd, rooms are small, and there are lots of impractical things like only one side of the bed has a table, the wardrobe blocks the view of the small tv from on side of the bed, and there’s no where to store toiletries in the shower -somewhat dirty bathroom with pink buildup in the shower -shower didn’t drain properly so toiletries on the ground floated about while you showered -noisy area if you’re trying to get some sleep We also had an issue where we lost our hot water, but told the desk and the manager to fix it which we appreciated. Also note, there wasn’t a lift to use so be prepared for stairs if it’s the type of thing that puts you off. Simply put, we wouldn’t stay here again but I really want to sing the praises of the staff who deserve to have a nicer hotel!

  Location!! Amazingly placed in midst of city at a walking distance from main train station, from main attractions and walking from all great eateries. Staff was very friendly and helpful, very quick response on Booking messenger and very kind for every ask. I wanted to drop my luggage in between my two trains and it worked smooth except some running back to station due to shortage of time of-course. Hotel reception was prepared to take care of my luggage and the same worked smooth when I left luggage the next day on check-out. I did not manage to open my hotel door due to lock mechanism but hotel staff was quick to arrive even at 10 PM and was pleasant in greeting. Room was tidy and spacious. I missed having an elevator in hotel with heavy luggage, apart from that ... everything was super good.
