    The website was misleading and said that there was air-conditioning but when we got to the hotel, there was not. It is 80° inside the hotel room and 60° outside. Just meant that you had to open the window and let all the bugs inside. The shower door was Semi broken and that meant that you couldn’t close it properly which led to water filling out onto the floor.

    This was a welcoming hotel in the Porta Romana end of Firenze. Our room was very nice and there is very little traffic noise. It is situated up the hill a few hundred meters from the Arco Di Porta Romana. Where there is a convenient bus into the centre of Firenze and the Railway station. Buy bus tickets in the tobacco shop and validate them on the machine on the bus. We took a group wine tour from those bus stops too. The breakfast was very good and as a gluten free traveller it was good to receive gf breads and cookies at breakfast time. Sadly we didn’t get to use the pool due to it being overcast on our visit but it looked very clean and inviting. This was my 3rd trip to Firenze and it was a great to try a new area.

    We stayed from the 14 - 25 Sept. We loved the Villa, the high celing room with chandelier, very comfortable beds. Fantastic Staff like Ali, Angela and the guy's in the snackbar in the evening, and in the breakfast room. Nice swimmingpool area. Good breakfast. You stay in a lovely area but only minutes to cool bars and good restaurants and the Boboli park. Only 15 minutes walk to Ponte Veccio bridge. We had dinner at Villa Cora (3 minutes up the road). Highly recommended! Thank you for a fantastic stay and the perfect place for our 40 years of marriage. WE WILL BE BACK!

    An Average Hotel in Florence!

    Good location. Average room. Basic breakfast, eggs over cooked. Small Swimming Pool area which isn’t regularly tended by the staff, no service. Snack menu can be asked for but food arrives still frozen. Friendly, helpful staff. 20 mins walk to the Ponte Vecchio. Super market 15mins walk. Quick to order a taxi.

    This hotel was disappointing. I give it 3 stars only because the location was good. Public transportation was very close and we could get to the downtown center in very short order. The room would have been nice 10 years ago or so when it was last updated. Bur now it is quite dated and in need of updating. The throw pillows on the bed were soiled and smelled of dirt and sweat. We immediately took them off and called the desk for clean pillows. The shower was a nice size but drained so slow that we had to keep the water pressure at a minimum or we would have over-run the shower pan. The a/c barely kept the room livable, but it was stuffy unless we had the windows wide open.There was an old safe in the wardrobe but no key for it. The wardrobe itself could be locked but you had to rock it back of the rear side so that the doors would line up to allow the deadbolt to be engaged.The last issue with the room was that there were shades or curtains on the windows so that the light could be blocked out at night. We had to get a blanket that we could drape over the window to block out all the light.Breakfast was very nice with a good assortment of breads and sweets. The scrambled eggs were the best we had in our stay in Italy. Coffee and juices were also good and plentiful.All things considered, I would not book this hiotel again.
