It is difficult to find a better location in Florence. The city centre with its famous Duomo is just 10 minutes away and the charm of Fiesole, this magical hill that looks over Florence, gives the feeling of being lost in the purest Tuscan countryside. Santa Maria railway station is about 5 km away and the city of Pisa is 100 km from the hotel. Florence Peretola Airport is approximately 10 km away and Pisa Galileo Galilei Airport is around 95 km away.

    From the moment we arrived, Il Salviatino exceeded every expectation. This historic property is breathtaking in its own right, but what truly elevates the experience is the people who bring it to life.Paul on reception is an absolute credit to the hotel. He went above and beyond to help me organise a series of surprises for my fiancée's birthday, treating every detail with the kind of care you'd expect from a close friend rather than a hotel staff member. His warmth, attentiveness and genuine desire to make the celebration unforgettable made all the difference.The spa was another highlight. Laura was incredible, and our massage was easily one of the best we've ever had. The spa itself completely blew us away. It's a sanctuary in every sense of the word.What sets Il Salviatino apart is the consistent feeling that the staff genuinely cannot do enough for you. Every interaction, every gesture, every small touch added up to something extraordinary. The history of the place is palpable, but it's the quality of its people that makes it unforgettable.We honestly couldn't imagine staying at a more magical place, so much so that we're already planning to return for our honeymoon.     We were there in April 2025. The service was beyond excellent, the hotel and grounds were breathtaking, and the food was very good. I would highly recommend staying there and we will be back soon.

    The place is absolutely beautiful, down to every single detail. Breakfast on the terrace is unbelievable and the rooms are lovely.The staff are also incredible - in particular Klaudja who went out of her way to make our week special. We will be back

    Phenomenal service, stunning interiors and grounds and easy access to the city. Our family of 5 wanted a retreat and special end to our time in Italy and this gorgeous historic hotel hit the mark! Only thing we were disappointed by was that the pool does not open til May 1.     Beautiful Tuscan villa above Florence!

    We chose this location to celebrate our 34th wedding anniversary. From the moment we arrived we experienced the most incredible service and gracious staff we have ever had at a hotel. It began with meeting Andrea, who helped us throughout our stay with our booking and was so attentive to our needs and the hotel manager Edoardo and Elena introduced themselves and warmly welcomed us. During our entire stay, we were in awe of the property and the exquisite staff. Luigi who manages the hotel restaurant went above and beyond for us. The hotel is privately owned, and it shows in the care placed in the staff and management that run the hotel. The historic villa is decorated exquisite and unique. The grounds and garden in addition to the plant selection inside the villa are beyond words. If we return to Florence, we will definitely book a stay here again. Beautiful memories that we will cherish forever!
