  Four days away in Florence

  The hotel was outdated and the liquor paint. Needed all new carpets or a good deep clean bedroom is very tired and needed repainting. In the breakfast it needed more staff to clean the tables bring out fresh food every day you have to ask to get the tables cleaned asked to bring out food because the trade are empty. Reception staff didn’t really seem bothered about anything didn’t really wanna do anything.   The hallway floors were dirty, and inside the room the floors were cracked and the walls were peeling. The bed sheets were extremely thin—so thin that even after the bed was made, the mattress was clearly visible. Between the two thin sheets, the quilt itself was yellow (hard to see in photos, but noticeable in person).The TV/remote did not work at all, and the AC stopped functioning overnight, flashing an extremely bright “HELP” message that made it difficult to sleep.Breakfast was also misleading. The hotel states it starts at 7am, but when I arrived, the area was empty with no staff present. The following morning, I came an hour before breakfast ended and everything was already gone—empty juice containers, dirty plates, and used cups left out.Photos included for transparency. This property needs serious attention to cleanliness, maintenance, and basic guest comfort.   It’s nice when a hotel delivers exactly what you hoped for

  Excellent hotel in a quiet neighbourhood with plenty of restaurant options nearby. Extremely easy €2 bus journey into the city centre. Large comfortable rooms, excellent restaurant & a fabulous swimming pool. The staff were all friendly & helpful.

  Would give it 3.5 stars if I could. I read the recent reviews just before we arrived and I was very concerned about what I had booked but we didn’t encounter many of the problems described. The hotel is about a 15-20 minute bus ride to Florence on bus 23. This bus also goes to the central train station and airport. The lady on reception was very helpful in giving us a map and directions in English. The neighbourhood has some lovely cafe bars and a take away pizza across the road.The pool area was maintained well, towels were available and replenished when they ran out. The pool was why we booked to stay there because we had children with us and they had a great time. We had a lovely evening meal and a special shout out to Marco who was a fantastic waiter and great in recommending dishes and talking to the kids. I think it was the manger, another gentleman came round checking all the food was ok. Breakfast was fine and was being replenished, the staff were doing their best to deal with a big influx of people at the same time on the second morning. We had a lovely view from our room overlooking the pool and the park. The room was fairly clean, the bathroom did not look dated, the only thing I would say is if you looked a bit closer things like the vent in the bathroom needed attention. The lifts and the outside of the building are showing their age but once inside it was fine. The hotel does need to install safes and invest a bit in refurbing going forward if it wants to keep up the 4 star but I must say I have stayed in a lot worse places.

  A hotel with a nice view. Breakfast was basic. However, Wifi connectivity can be improved especially if you are staying at the upper levels.
