    I am an experienced traveler and I rarely write negative reviews, but what happened during my stay at Loggia Fiorentina in Florence was unacceptable and future guests deserve to know.I arrived at 6:20 PM — a perfectly normal check-in time — to find no one at the front desk. Loggia Fiorentina operates on a self-check-in system, which I had no issue with in principle. Every access code they sent me worked fine... except the one that mattered most: the lockbox containing my room key.I contacted the hotel via WhatsApp. The responses were dismissive — I was told to wait and try the code again. I tried repeatedly. The box was clearly broken. I explicitly asked whether someone could come and hand me the key in person, and whether a different room was available. I was told they were fully booked and to "have patience."I called the emergency number three times. No one answered.After waiting with no resolution and no meaningful response, I made clear that if I could not access my room I would need to find alternative accommodation and expected a full reimbursement. Only after a further 20-minute wait did someone finally say they were on their way.In total, I sat in the lobby of Loggia Fiorentina for over two hours before I was given access to the room I had already paid for. Two hours of a limited vacation day, with luggage, gone.When someone finally arrived, they acknowledged the situation was unacceptable and personally promised to speak to their manager about compensating me for my lost time. That was the last I ever heard from them. No follow-up, no apology, no gesture of goodwill — nothing. It is one thing to have a system fail; it happens. It is another thing entirely to make a promise to a guest and simply ignore it. That is not an operational lapse, it is a choice, and it says everything about how Loggia Fiorentina values its customers.If you are considering Loggia Fiorentina: the self-check-in infrastructure is unreliable, the emergency line is effectively non-functional, and when things go wrong, you are completely on your own. Apparently the only thing that works smoothly here is the art of making promises with no intention of keeping them — a skill they have clearly mastered, even if hospitality has eluded them.

    This is more of a single room hostel than it is a Hotel. The quality of the rooms is pretty low, half of the bathrooms were out of order and the air-conditioning was a nightmare to get to work. It’s very cheap given the central location, but there is a reason for that!

    BEWARE THEY ARE SCAMMERS! Horrible hotel and customer service, we came at 10:30pm and left 15 min after seeing the room which reeked of humidity and moisture. The mattresses are filled bed bugs and the common washrooms were filthy and half were out of service.There was no one at the front desk, we contacted them to advise we were leaving, left the room 15min after untouched and they refused to refund us.Please beware! You will find amazing 3 stars hotels for 20$ more down the street where you wont put your health and body in danger (humidity moisture & bedbugs).

    Friendly staff, good location, but don't expect much, it's really very basic and old. Radiator in the room turned on to the max but barely warm. Toilet/Shower unit outside the room, also pretty old, we actually skipped the shower because it was not very inviting. We had no cell phone reception in our room and wifi only worked in the reception area. On the plus side: it was very quiet and the mattrass was okay so we had a good night's sleep.

    The man on the front desk was very unpleasant and didn’t make us feel welcome. Room was okay but next to busy road so was hard to sleep. Customer service let us down and put a downer on our entire trip. Wouldn’t recommend.
