Great location, good room size, kind staff

    rating23 Jul 2025

The good: Location is great, it’s a 10min walk to the train station and 200’’ to the Duomo. The staff is kind, the mini bar has some sodas and refillable glass water bottles, the room and bathroom are both very large. Cappuccinos that come with breakfast are great, and the yogurt and carrot cake were our favorites. Additional info: just note that it’s 35 stairs to the main floor, so if someone in your party has difficulty with stairs this might not be for you. Additionally, the air conditioning I think turns off after a certain period of time, because we visited in July and it was very warm, and we would leave the AC on, but return to it off and the room warm. For additional water, you go down the hall where they also have a ln ice machine and buckets in case you need.

Edoardo and the Cerretani Palace were AMAZING!!!

    rating06 Jul 2025

What more can be said about Edoardo and the Cerretani Palace than the other reviews I've seen. It was truly amazing!! Breakfast was great and when we had trips planned early, Edoardo brought my wife and I bags of food and drinks to take with us. For our anniversary, they gave us a bottle of Prosecco that we enjoyed on the balcony. Truly amazing location and host!!! Thank you from both of us. You have a remarkable B&B!

Had a wonderful 8 night stay at this beatiful Hotel .Edoardo and his staff are Awesome. If I could give them 10 Stars it still would not adequately reflect our satisfaction. They were extremely accommodating to all of our needs. Highly recommend.Konstantine

City break in the heart of Florence

    rating16 Feb 2025

Eduardo was a very generous, welcoming and helpful host including leaving little foodie treats in our room and loaning us an umbrella on a particularly rainy day. The room was spacious, immaculately clean and very comfortable, with a traditional, classic Florentine style. Ideal central location to explore all the city on foot, with an incredible view of the Duomo on the doorstep. Some noise overnight as is right in the centre (ear plugs provided!) and no need for an alarm as the Duomo bells ring at 7! Good breakfast selection with superb espresso. Perfect for a short city break and would highly recommend. Walking distance from tram/train station.

Gemstone of a B&B in the beating heart of Florence

    rating02 Feb 2025

Let's be clear: you could not get a better location to stay in Florence if you tried. You walk out of the secure, gated apartment and practically fall face-first into the Duomo and baptistry, and every single attraction in old town Florence is within a 20-minute walk. Our lovely host (who was always only one WhatsApp message away) was waiting for us outside the building upon our arrival and graciously helped carry our luggage up to the 2nd floor/primo piano. The "breakfast in bed" brought into our room every morning at a time of our choosing was absolutely scrumptious, including your choice of coffee drink, local pastries, meat, eggs, etc. There was unlimited water (and ice too?! Unheard of). The updated bathroom and noise-muffling windows were shockingly excellent given the overall age of the building--but of course, you could always open the windows and let the sounds of Florence sooth you to sleep if you wanted. Trattoria La Casalinga, a restaurant recommended by our host, was the best food experience we had in Italy. I have to imagine that it was only as affordable as it was because it was January, because the price was also hard to beat in an otherwise somewhat expensive city. As expected, it had a sort of AirBNB vibe with no central lounge area or other "hotel"-like amenities, but that's not what you're in Florence for! We will absolutely stay there again if we make it back.
