    Hotel Mario’s in Florence is an excellent choice for travelers seeking both convenience and warm hospitality. Located just a short walk from Santa Maria Novella train station, it makes arriving and exploring the city incredibly easy. The staff here are exceptionally helpful, always ready with recommendations, directions, and a genuine willingness to assist, which adds a personal touch to the stay. Rooms are comfortable and clean, offering good value for the location. While the décor is simple, the welcoming atmosphere and attentive service more than make up for it. Being so close to the train station also means quick access to day trips beyond Florence. Overall, Hotel Mario’s combines practicality with friendly service, making it a reliable base for visiting Florence.

    The hotel room was nice size with cool air conditioning and strong flow of water in the shower. Nice design with small windows and nice small table for your personal makeup and other stuff that you need in the bathroom. Safe and small refrigerator is good. The bed is firm and comfortable. The pillow was flat so extra pillows would be good. The breakfast was nice and friendly staffs. You can leave your luggage for storage until your flight or train. We definitely will stay there again when we visit. The hotel is around the corner from the train station. Train station across from Burger King is closer to get to the hotel.

    We had the misfortune of staying at this so-called "hotel" for three nights. This place doesn't deserve to be called a three-star hotel; it's more like a hostel masquerading as a hotel. The "hotel" is situated on the first floor of an incredibly outdated building, with a steep staircase that is both treacherous and exhausting to climb. There is no elevator, making the place completely inaccessible for anyone with mobility issues.The lack of soundproofing is astonishing. Every tiny noise from the hallway or neighboring rooms echoed loudly, making it impossible to get a decent night's sleep. The rooms themselves are ancient and shabby, with decor that hasn't been updated in decades. The shower was so cramped it felt like trying to bathe in a coffin, and it took over 10 excruciating minutes just to get lukewarm water. The amenities were laughable. The room had a minuscule fridge that barely fit anything and a basic, flimsy water kettle. There weren't even any napkins provided. Calling this place a three-star hotel is a gross misrepresentation and a deceitful practice. We would have been less disappointed if it was honestly advertised as a hostel and priced so.

    It was such a fantastic place for my mother and me. Thanks to all the staff for doing everything to make us feel at home.The place is close to the station but is lactated on a quiet street and is close to all major attractions within a walking distance 15-20 minutes.The interior of the hotel and rooms are corresponding to the city atmosphere and are very clean. Our room was spacious and very comfortable. The breakfast included all you need.The staff was very helpful and polite.We stayed for a week and I highly recommend the place..for short or long stays!

    Small and safe hotel, close to the main train station and walkable from the attractions in Florence. The room was nice, decent size for a quadruple and had a historic charm.The breakfast had a basic spread but everything was fresh and enough to get you going for the day. They had no way to pack breakfast for us when we were leaving early though.Since the building is years old, there was no lift, so we had to pull up our luggage to the first floor through some steep stairs. Guess this is the arrangement for most hotels in the area, as the other buildings seemed just as similar to ours. Many shops and eateries close by, while the hotel was in a quiet road.The reception was friendly. Overall a good experience for a short stay.
