    Modern hotel, very close to station

    Stayed at Mercure Florence with my family. They had upgraded my room to a room with balcony which offered a lot of open space.The room was extremely spacious equipped with modern amenities. The balcony was huge which was a welcome change from the compact European Hotels. The hotel is almost opposite the train station. No cabs required for travelling to and from the station. Bus stations and tram stations are also quite closeby hence travelling anywhere from Mercure is quite convenient. The key tourist places such as Dumon and the museums were at 10 min walking distance. Breakfast could have been better. There was absolutely no hot food. Pan cakes and waffles were quite cold. That was the only drawback.     Nice room with a balcony. Quiet considering how close it is to the train station and busy area. Rooms were clean and tidy, minibar offerings were good, coffee and tea in room were also better than average. Very nice area and hotel, excellent staff and service. Breakfast was great and had a wide range of fruits, meats, cheeses, eggs, pancakes, etc. I had to try all the different croissants!     Very close to the train station, it is a close walk from the Duomo. The staff is friendly and the rooms are big. We took a family room for 3 of us and it was spacious. There is hardly any noise in the night and the price was quite reasonable for Italy standards. They have a coffee machine in the room but also offer complementary coffee in the lobby all day long.     I had a short, 1 night stay at the Mercure Centro for business. One of my colleagues had told me he enjoyed his stay there, and he was right about it. The location is very close to the train station and the tram, as well as many restaurants and other attractions in Florence. My room was very comfortable with a balcony and plenty of room. The air conditioning was not the best, but it was adequate for the time of year. Breakfast was fine, with a buffet that had enough choices. The service and attitude of the service were outstanding. They were very happy to store my luggage after I checked out, since I was transferring to another hotel for the rest of my stay. In all, very nice!     We stayed here for 1 night. The hotel is close to the station, which is good if travelling by train but not as nice late at night if you want to walk around. Hotel staff were friendly and helpful. Hotel is nice with comfortable beds and a good shower. Breakfast had a good range of food. The hotel is close to the local food market and about 10 mins walk from the Duomo. I would stay here again.
