    佛羅倫斯的兩個晚上

    意國行程的第二、三晚 Stay，我們來到了佛羅倫斯。這兩天，終於住在大城市了，不過，下榻的地方是佛羅倫斯機場的附近。酒店名稱叫《NIL Hotel Firenze》。是一間有會議 facilities 的大型酒店。入住期間，包了一餐晚餐同兩個早餐，住得好也吃得好。在大堂已經發現，幾乎所有來至亞洲的旅行團都下榻這酒店。酒店的大堂，看落似乎有點舊，但起碼感覺是乾淨闊落，很是舒服。第一個晚上，我們怏怏趣上房放低行李，就立即到地庫層的餐廳，享用酒店的晚餐了。酒店的晚餐，是一個正宗的意式 3 course meau。而在 first dish 來之前，就是豐富的麵包頭盤。有普通的麵包，也有香口的脆麵包。當日，大家都餓了，真的連沒加醋加油的麵包，都覺美味。First dish 來了，是一個 Risotto。味道就是 Cream of Mushroom (白汁蘑菇)。這是一份正宗及出色的 Risotto。因為煮出的飯，是粒粒吃飽醬汁而沒有多餘的溢出。所以是粒粒分明的。由於飯粒吸滿了汁，吃入口也特別的軟綿綿。Second dish，是一份 Roast Pork。簡單的歐洲式，烤肉，一片片切出來的。肉質是香嫩的，再加上醬汁香口，薯蓉亦充滿了牛油香。味道算是不錯。茹素的太太及外母，就一人一份 Grill Vegetable。有烤茄子同烤翠玉瓜。輕輕加鹽去烤的，味道也就是鹽香同茄子、翠玉瓜的原味道。清新，可口。而當晚的甜品，就是一人一件 Strawberry Mousse。酒店的甜品出品，真的不會差。這 Mousse 香甜也香滑。當晚，若可以多點一、兩件，我們都想多吃一、兩件。回房了，本以為酒店有點舊味道，房間也會很舊。入到房，原來不是我想像的那回事。房間新淨，設施也不舊。當然床夠舒服也是令我們感開心兩晚的重要因素。更開心的，是酒店有浴缸。在浴室就看得出，這酒店的確沒什麼裝修過。好的，就是酒店的房間同浴室，夠乾淨多大，不好的，其實我數不出，因為舊，只是感觀的問題，不是一個 cons。而酒店的窗設計，是好典型的鐵閘窗加玻璃窗的配搭。原來，意大利建築，配上木窗同鐵閘窗並不是基於防盜的考慮。而是南歐天氣很熱，木窗同鐵閘窗有助隔熱之用。當我打開窗，就是酒店的 car park。周圍是一些民居及其實大型的工商業建築。附近是有一間大型超市的。但每次回到酒店都太累了，而且走過去也要10多分鐘。所以，一回到酒店，就在房內享受就好了。睡醒，我們就來到酒店的另一邊餐廳吃自助早餐了。芝士同火腿的選擇都好多，而且大部份都是方便大家夾麵包食的。不吃麵包，也有三個種類的 Cereal 供應。而麵包，就是酒店早餐的主角，許多不同種類的包包，真的想每一款都一試。而我，就選了普通的火腿同 salami 來夾麵包，配咖啡同乳酪。此外，我看見岳父吃的牛角包看似頂呱呱，之後，我又拿了一隻，牛角包來吃，的確是香脆可口，酥香味十足。兩天的早餐，我都是差不多的配搭啊。跟團住酒店，不需要理方便不方便啊。因為出入都有旅遊巴啊。這體驗只可說，酒店夠舒適，食物也不錯。總結，在佛羅倫斯的兩個晚上，睡得好，能解多日旅程的疲勞啊。

    Hotel was clean and the room was a nice size. Hotel staff was friendly . It was nice to have a restaurant with good food in the hotel and also a bar which also served bar type food if you did not want to have a sit down dinner

    My husband and I enjoyed our stay at the NilHotel. Our room was spacious and clean. The only downside to the room was that to take a shower, you had to step up high to stand in the shower and our view was of an industrial company next door. Breakfast was good and there were good restaurants nearby. This hotel is out about 25 minutes from city center so you get a bigger room, free parking and breakfast than you would closer to Florence. We had a car and planned to drive but the very friendly desk clerk advised us to take a taxi for about 25 euros. Thank goodness he did. Transit drivers were on strike and many roads were closed. Google maps would have never gotten us there and we would have missed our tour of the Uffizi gallery. Instead we got dropped off at the entry to the museum in time.

    So many better hotels to choose from in florence. No cooling aircon, itchy sheets, metal shutters. Also, photocopied information sheets looked terrible and unprofessional. No kettle or coffee maker. Antiquated wall mounted hair dryer - No good for my long hair! Was informed to be careful of using my hair straighteners due to fire risk via a sheet of paper left in my room. Weird - I travel on a monthly basis for work and have never had anything like that!! Left early and moved to another hotel that provided kettle and coffee maker - so unsure why this place cannot.Reception staff and nice and helpful. But reception area is large and empty. Feels weird and unwelcoming. Only a large desk greeting bus tours. I didn't like the large fense and huge metal gates at the entrance either - made me feel unsafe.

    Just checked out when writing this, the staff was very friendly and helpful, check in and check out was very easy and quick!The room is as in the picture, even better, and huge ! Not really a new hotel but well, built in 2009 and well maintained for sure. Everything works perfectly and the internet was fast and very easy to connectBut the highlight of my stay was actually the breakfast which included in the room, it was AMAZING, lots if varieties and the freshness and taste was more than i could imagine, and coffee was spot onThis hotel was not my first pick at first but chose this hotel finally because of need of a free parking spot, which this hotel has. But surely this hotel will be my first option for my next visit!
