Amazing location but very basic hotel

    rating03 Jan 2026

The location of this hotel is fantastic, that is what makes it be between a 3-4 star as I would give it lower if it was not for its location. The restaurant directly across from it was one of the best we tried during our time in Italy- though they say they are open until 11pm but when we stopped by to try to grab something at 10:15pm as our train came back late, they wouldn’t serve us so keep that in mind. (we visited Rome, Venice, and Florence). It's an easy walk from the train station to the hotel, and the location is perfect for walking to major attractions in Florence. We quickly realized that Uber and taxis are quite expensive here, so being close to everything was really convenient. We arrived about a few hours before check-in time, and while the room wasn’t ready yet, we were told it might be a bit later than expected. We came back around 3 PM, but the room was still not ready, even though check-in was supposed to be at 2. Though they said we could store our luggage while we waited for room to be ready, our luggage was left out in the open, which was a little worrying, but we trusted that it would be safe since there didn’t seem to be many other guests coming and going. When we returned later in the evening, the room was finally ready, but keep in mind that there are no elevators in the hotel. There was no one available to help with our luggage, so be prepared to walk up a few flights of stairs. The hotel still uses actual keys, which you have to return when leaving and pick up again when you come back. The room itself was basic and quite small. The bathroom had very little storage space, and the whole place felt like it hadn’t been updated since the 80s. That said, the room and bedding was clean, and considering the amazing location, it was fine for those who are just looking for a bed and a place to sleep. They do offer a simple breakfast, pastry, fruit and yogurt/cereal. They do have someone who will make you a fresh latte. That was a nice touch.Overall, if you don’t mind basic accommodations and location is what you are looking for, this hotel is good.

Quick stay with a great location in central Florence

    rating28 Dec 2025

This is a nice little hotel with a great location--just a short walk from the historic center and Santa Maria Novella Station. My room was small, but clean, quiet, and comfortable. Italian breakfast (cappuccino and cornetto) is included. Service was mediocre, as the guy who checked me in seemed to be bothered that I was there, but other than that, it was a quick and pleasant stay.

AWFUL! DIRTY AND VERY NOISY, IN DISREPAIR. NO LONGER OWNED BY ITALIANS.

    rating24 Dec 2025

Awful! Window was broken and covered with duct tape, dirty curtains, sink clogged and very, very noisy. There is a bar right across the street and loud drunk peple all night long. We previously stayed here years ago and when was operated by Italians. It is now owned by Foreigners who are rude and dirty and ignore request to repair problems. While convenient, DO NOT STAY HERE. IT IS NOT WHAT IT APPEARS TO BE.

A dicent hotel with a great location

    rating12 Jul 2024

This is a simple and small hotel in the middle of Florence's historic center. The best thing about the hotel was without a doubt the location. The rooms are small, but appear to be well maintained. We stayed at room 1 and 2 at the ground floor so it was easy to get there with our luggage since there is no lift in the building. The Wifi worked perfectly. The air conditioning worked well, but a bit strange that we couldn't control the temperature ourselves, but had to ask the receptionist to do it for us every time. The hotel is located in a pedestrian street which is really nice. Very simple breakfast and the coffee didn't tast coffee at all. If the hotel experience is important for the holiday trip I would choose another hotel, but the staff are friendly and it is clean and nice.

    Very poor hostel

    rating11 Apr 2024

First question to ask is how did this place get to be called a hotel. I have seen better equipped and facilities in hostles. We arrived at this "Hotel " and were given our room, once we checked the room I went back to the reception to as if any other rooms were available as this one was terrible. I was told that only 1 other room was available but is was smaller as the beds were placed in a T shape. so I declined the offer. The room we had was quite small with 2 steel beds ( very good mattresses), A piece of furniture that was perhaps got from IKEA 20 years ago with 3 hangers, there was plaster coming of the walls and water stains on the walls (see pics)There was a window but when I opened it there was a shutter that was locked and could not be opened. The bathroom was perhaps the smallest bathroom I've ever encountered, it had a shower but the sliding doors had been removed and replaced with a shower curtain to enable you to turn around in the bathroom, We booked B&B, and the breakfast was perhaps the worst Breakfast I've ever had, it consisted, of a basket with 2 croissants, 2 very small rolls, toast in a bag and something else in a bag, there was no bread of any kind or even a toaster, there was 2 cereals, as well A waitress served you tea and coffee at the counter to take to your table , my wife said the coffee was great, the tea was ok, but I did ask the waitress if I could have a pot of tea as there was tea pots on a shelf behind her, she put hot water into a milk jug added 2 tea bags and handed it to. me. This was the worst hotel with the worst Breakfast I've ever had, and I've travelled all over this world. For what we paid (144euros) a night, it was a very expensive bad hostle. This is not a hotel it's a rather very expensive poor hostel.
