    Me and my wife spend our honeymoon here (4 nights)The location is fantastic, the room with its high selling,painting on the wall and a very nice balcony is very original for the time period, the staff at the reception were friendly and helpful and for that reason it is worth stay on this residenza. Now the down side and the most negative of all is the man who prepares the breakfast! So unfriendly (against all the guests you can see that he really hates his jobb) and it is not what you want to encounter first thing in the morning.The breakfast it self is also the minimum of the minimum basically it is roastbread, cheese and ham and thats it!). After 2 days we decided to take our breakfast somewhere else (despite that we hade payed for the breakfast already)

    Danger! Smell of electrical burning. Exposed electrical wires

    DANGER! Don’t be fooled by the ‘authentic’ photos of painted walls. Room had an electrical burning smell. Electrical wires were hanging out of the walls!We had a baby with us that could have been killed. Only one staff member spoke little English any said they couldn’t smell anything but the room was full of odour eliminators. No hot water. Backpacker hostel accommodation. We left immediately. Staff were so rude!Trip advisor needs to remove this hotel from its platform. It is dangerous and filthy! Room was the largest room and it was awful. Hate to think what the cheaper rooms are like!

    Disgusting… do not stay!

    Horrible! Room stunk of burning plastic from an electrical fault. Wires were exposed from the walls at electrical outlets. Really dangerous. We had a baby with us and they said it was all safe. We asked to move rooms. The room was full of fumes. Only one staff member spoke English and said it was fine but odour eliminators were plugged in all around the room and bathroom. Staff were rude and unhelpful. Had to change hotels. Refused refund. No hot water. Don’t let the photos of the painted walls fool you / room was disgusting.

    Not sure I’d call this a hotel, especially our room “Urano”

    When we booked our trip, it was sold as a 4* hotel in Florence city centre.  Upon arrival to the hotel, we were greeted with an A4 piece of paper taped to the hotel door, with my name on it, explaining that we had been emailed a combination to access the hotel key lock box. The hotel was unstaffed. We had not received this email, which had reportedly been sent to Expedia, despite us not booking with them. I then called the emergency helpline for my booking company. The emergency helpline initially told me that they had received no email, and therefore couldn’t do anything to help. I was placed onto hold for an hour, after which time, they were able to provide a four digit code to enter the hotel. After entering the hotel, it was clear that this had been missold. This was far from a four star hotel, it was more akin to a backpackers motel. The room was hot, with no cooling. There were mosquitoes everywhere, an uncomfortable bed, and worst of all- mould. The safe was non functional, so we carried our valuables around, as the hotel did not feel secure.  After two nights here, with hardly any sleep, we were keen to get to the airport and away from Florence. A real shame, as the city itself is beautiful.

    Having spent two nights in this place booked through friends we as a four will never be back room air on not working god knows how hot it was first night after speaking to the receptionist got a fan second night Three lights in our bathroom two not working, fridge with beer etc not working shampoo holder in shower nearly off the wall Breakfast was interesting cheapest breakfast ingredients imaginable with what was on offer workers in the kitchen which was more like going into a dungeon worked hard Speaking to the girls on reception they did what they could but we as a four got little response from management My thoughts on the management they don’t really care most traveler’s won’t come back to Florence they have the money BEWARE don’t give them any of yours
