  Photos sell luxury,stylish apartments but is very basic & built for minimal functional costs… still convenient..

  From photos I was excited to book what seemed like w luxury apartment with expensive decor with a kitchenette! The reality is the rooms are very basic and everything is bought from IKEA. I felt like a male college student was tasked to design the place and he just picked a room from an IKEA catalogue. Even toilet was likely from IKEA … it’s a 2 flush option installed for a 1 flusher (at first I thought it was broken but I think they just went with what ikea had)As a solo female traveler this didn’t make me feel comfortable & wished they had some design qualities that were a bit more creative or accented with a Feminine touch - maybe a male customer would really like this place.I waited to write my review bc I wanted to stay at other aparthotels in Florence in same price range (which I did) to give it a fair assessment The lobby lights are never on even at night - I’m assuming to keep the costs down - but that’s the overall vibe of the place is to keep things as basic as it can be & again opposite from what the photos depict Still, the kitchenette is fully stocked with pots and pans - I had to get a toaster by request. The vent above the stove didn’t work though in my unit..Pros: in quiet neighborhood in walking distance to Santo SpiritoI’m giving it 4 out of 5 bc it was still a convenient aparthotel but again take the luxury looking part of the rooms in their photos with a grain of salt… I stayed in the room with the orange chairs. Tip: The manager is very nice - there is no night staff so if you are arriving late, he stays back til you arrive I stayed in Feb when it was cold and rainy… heater takes about 5 minutes to work so be patient If management is reading: please add some style to your place.

  We thoroughly enjoyed our 3 nights here. The room was incredibly clean and spacious. We loved how our room opened up to the church and hearing the bells in the morning was lovely. The AC worked perfectly and was cold! The shower is on the smaller size but no big deal. If you arrive before or after reception hours, the communication was perfect! Thank you for the perfect stay in Florence!

  Looked exactly as per photos. A very good check in and helpful lady on reception. The room was lovely, very quiet, yet really central. Great places to eat on your doorstep. Lovely air con. Everything you need in the little kitchen.

  A very clean, spacious room with a lovely balcony overlooking a church. Brilliant location. The lady on reception was very friendly, informative and very smiley. The bed was so comfortable and the room was lovely and quiet. We didn't hear a single thing whilst staying in our room. The apartment was in a brilliant location, with a lovely looking restaurant (that we wished we had visited) and wine window around 75m further down the street. We really enjoyed our stay in this apartment and we would definitely book to stay here again.

  Hot and buggy!

  We stayed at the Mannaioni, room 6 in June. 2023. The temp outside is 78 F (25 C) and a bit humid. The room is located on 3 rd floor, and is a very nice size for a European hotel. Much like a extended stay in the US. Small kitchenette, table for two. Small bathroom and shower. It’s very well decorated with natural wood ceilings. However, ceilings do radiate noise from Apt above. Chairs being dragged on floor above and heavy walking at 3am in the morning. The Bed was comfortable. May be considered a double bed and two pillows each. :). Pretty clean except dusty ceiling beans that could use some attention. . Checkin is easy and the woman who works desk very friendly and informative. The bad!! The issue we had was the mosquitoes and flies. The room was hot and stuffy. If you open the windows the bugs eat you. Our first morning we had multiple mosquito bits. Close windows to avoid bugs and AC will not cool below 78F. Talk to desk clerk, received a rude response. Was told the stuffy hot room is a European hotel standard temperature and that is how it is in Italy. I’m almost 60 and have travel extensively in Europe and not my first stop in Italy. The clerks’ response was nothing you would expect from a 4 star hotel service. I attempted to explain we just left Rome, same temps and a beautiful cool room. The desk clerk on 2 June was a nasty arrogant man who basically blew me off. Although, Italy has limited room temperatures because of energy savings and dependency on Russian oil. The rude desk clerk could have at least offered a fan or tech to check the unit. Personally, I would just avoid this so called 4 star Hotel. Not worth the attitude.
