    First time in Florence for me, couldn’t have had a better time in Florence, much because of the staff and this hotel. The staff is really helpful and it has a beatiful view from the Hotel.

    Delightful historic oasis beside the Arno river

    We had a wonderful 5-night stay at this historic small hotel, situated near but not right in the middle of the main tourist area. The hotel is an authentic Italian townhouse with fine original features and beautiful furnishings and antiques. The place is beautifully cared for, and gardeners will love the designed, sheltered town house garden with its cascade of white jasmine, tropical foliage, potted citrus, goldfish pond and formal ironwork. Our room had a wonderful view over the River Arno and the south side of the city. The breakfasts are delicious - we took ours in the garden! The staff are very friendly and special mention must go to the outstanding breakfast team who predicted our needs with uncanny ability!

    The value and experience was not consistent for the price we paid for our room. Our room was booked with a view, and yes we have a window but very restricted view of the Arno River. Our room was comfortable but there was black mold in the shower and the hair dryer was falling off the wall. When we requested additional water it was left on the table and not in the refrigerator. I emailed the manager with no response. The staff was friendly and helpful but clearly the owner/manager doesn't care about our experience because nothing was done to compensate us. A huge disappointment for a 4 star hotel. There are so many other options in florence. Steer away from this one. We travel extensively and this is fist time I have ever left a negative review

    We loved our stay at Hotel Principe in Florence! Arrival feels like you’re walking into an old palace, the staff was kind, the room was massive and had everything we needed. One of our favorite moments was breakfast in bed on our first morning. The best part for me was the rooftop. You get an amazing view over the city and the Duomo at sunset. Could’ve stayed up there for hours.Location’s perfect, easy to walk everywhere. Would definitely stay again next time we’re in Florence.
