    not impressed

    rating05 May 2026

I was disappointed with this hotel. Although the location is very nice, I found the front desk staff to be garlic faced, especially the manager, whom I had to speak to several times since I requested a room change. The exception was Issa Bro who was very nice and helpful. The top floor with the best rooms is very musty. The room I ended up in on first floor was dark and the heat didn't operate above a certain temperature and the shower leaked outside the basin, which made it so we had to stop showering or the bathroom floor would flood. Housekeeping was good. Just very unimpressed with the way this place is managed. Breakfast was a highlight with good view of the piazza.

Great hotel in centre of historic Florence

    rating25 Nov 2025

Charming hotel in a great location in the historical centre of Florence. It is located in a narrow medieval street beside the Uffizi Gallery, and overlooking Piazza della Signoria, with all its historic buildings, and lively restaurants and bars. The hotel is located in a renovated, sixteenth century building (with lift) in Chiasso del Buco (do watch the video on the hotel’s official website which shows how to find the hotel entrance from Piazza della Signoria). The hotel was renovated 2 years ago and so the decor and furnishings are beautiful. It typifies ‘quiet luxury’ with lovely bathrobes and quality bedlinen and toiletries. The hotel includes breakfast (wonderful food) in the room rate, and my package also included a free cocktail each evening and a free ticket to visit the Uffizi Gallery (worth €29). Evening meals are not available but why would you want to eat in the hotel when it is surrounded by so many bars, cafes and restaurants? My favourite restaurant of all was the Trattoria Antico Fattore which specialises in authentic Tuscan cuisine. Try the porcini mushrooms on crispy polenta - you will thank me for this tip!

We had a lovely stay in the hotel. The rooms are spacious and clean. The bathroom amazing, with all the amenities . Staff was very helpful and kind. Excellent location, close to all major attractions. Some reviewers complained about the smell and wifi. This has nothing to do with the Hotel, it is an issue of the area.

Poor management with inept staff - avoid this hotel

    rating17 Feb 2025

I do not recommend this hotel. Although the location is good, the management is horrendous and ruined our stay there. To start, we reserved two rooms: the Superior for our daughter and the Deluxe for my husband and me. When we checked in, only 1 room was ready (that was a problem by itself), so they asked us to put all our stuff in the room that was ready, but he wouldn’t explain which room it was (the Superior or the Deluxe). I said that my husband and I wanted the Deluxe room and tried to get the man to understand by saying multiple times that my husband and I want the bigger/better room. His response was that they were basically the same, so we stayed in the room that was ready because my husband was sick. The other room, which our daughter ended up with, wasn’t ready/cleaned until 2 hours after check-in time. After she unpacked, I went to see it and discovered that it was the Deluxe which turned out to be much better because it had: (1) a king size bed instead of a queen; (2) a bathtub in addition to the shower; (3) a larger bathroom; and (4) a couch. I don’t understand why the man at reception lied to us and said there wasn’t a big difference when there actually was. They told us if we need anything to just call the front desk. At one point I had a request, so I called and no one answered the phone even though I let it ring for 5 minutes. So I walked downstairs to the front desk and no one was there and there was no sign about when they’d be back or how to contact them. I stood there for 10 minutes before someone finally showed up. I have never experienced that at a hotel even though I have traveled a lot. Finally, we used their laundry service and they lost the pants of my daughter’s pajamas. They didn’t offer to do anything to correct the problem until we made a big deal about it and they gave us a credit of 17 Euros, which wasn’t enough to actually cover the cost of replacing her pajamas in Florence. There never seemed to be a manager on-site and the staff at the reception desk didn’t know what to do when there were problems. Pretty inept staff that never apologized when we experienced all these issues (room not ready, lying about the 2 rooms, and losing our clothes). You can find somewhere better place to stay in Florence.

    We loved the Relias Uffizi

    rating10 Nov 2024

Our 5 night stay at Relais Uffizi was wonderful. The property was beautiful - our room was lovely and well equipped with every amenity we needed to feel comfortable. What elevated our experience was the attention and care from everyone on the staff.• The breakfast was wonderful each morning, with a variety of delicious options to choose from. The staff in the restaurant were attentive and could not do enough for us.• The team at the front desk was so accommodating, and the recommendations provided for tour groups, shops, and restaurants, and their help with restaurant reservations were invaluable and helped us make the most of our time in Florence. The location of the hotel couldn’t have been better. Having breakfast with a view of one of Florence’s most iconic piazzas was wonderful each morning.  Being centrally located so close to both the Uffizi and the Duomo made exploring the city a breeze. We loved Florence and are looking forward to returning. When we do, there’s no doubt we’ll choose to stay at Relais Uffizi again.
