The hotel originates from the renovation of an old 14th Century Franciscan Monastery. Come and discover this Florentine historical residence, in the very center of Florence, just next Santa Maria Novella square. It offers warm hospitality in a charming context since the 60s.

The hotel was renovated in 2026. The hotel welcomes guests in a 3-storey building with 2 lifts and 81 non-smoking rooms. Multilingual staff are happy to assist and advise. A baggage storage service and a safe are available. Wireless internet access (no extra charge) allows guests to stay connected while on holiday.     every single topic comes up five stars. we landed here by luck as 4 very tired travelers and found the perfect spot for grandma, mom and 2 kids under 9. heavenly food, a small pool for the afternoon break, cocktail hour and a quiet courtyard for dinner. location - perfect. I just can say enough great about every single moment of our trip here. If you are in Florence and want a great hotel in a great location, this is it.

    This hotel is very picturesque. Unfortunately my watch and other valuables disappeared during my stay from my room. I reported it to the hotel and left my contact but there has been no follow up for the hotel..

    Everything you could want in a Hotel is here. There is so much to see and do in Florence we were a bit overwhelmed by trying to fit it all in… until we arrived at this hotel and they helped us navigate everything from restaurants, wine doors, private drivers for day trips, spa reservations, late night drinks at the bar and historical highlights we weren’t even aware of. A perfect location to walk to the major historical sights. Directions on their maps to get everywhere. Made and printed off train tickets so were never confused. The private driver took us to 3 Medieval cities and a restaurant overlooking Tuscany that gave us lifetime memories. Every staff member including: Daniele, Francesca, Massmiliano, Giuliano, Greta, Elena, Mateo and Alex knocked themselves out to make us feel like family.     This hotel is beautiful and the history is cool but I would never recommend for anyone to stay here. The rooms are small, the beds are uncomfortable with horrible pillows, so far have killed 2 bugs in the room. The shower smelled like sewage. The bathroom is tiny with counters so small you can’t fit anything on them and are so low to the ground you have to sit to use them comfortably. The staff is very nice but that’s basically the only good part about this hotel.
