  I booked this accommodation for my brother and myself..but unfortunately I couldn’t make it because of duty travel. It was summer 2019. But as my standard as at the same level as my brother, so it’s all good! The owner is very nice, friendly and very helpful. She recommended also a very good but also affordable restaurant near the apartment. She’s so helpful to order taxi for my brother to go to the airport. I know someday I’ll go to Florence, I’ll stay for sure!!

  How can you stay in a place where you are discriminated?

  The host left a discriminating note towards Asian people on the bed after my first night. His message indicated that Asian people don't use beds in a proper and hygienic way. After I talked with him about my feeling, he showed his arrogance (of course no apologies at all) and later cancelled my booking record on Booking.com to avoid any possible low score.The truth was there were only two single layers of white cloth on the bed, which was not a typical bed duvet set anywhere in the world. As an Asian who had lived and traveled in Europe for more than 4 years, this place was quite unique, it was too simple to host a guest. dsfdsafdfdas, Proprietario at Sogni d’oro, responded to this review Unbelievable, you feel discriminated only because I asked you to use the sheets properly? I know that in Asia you are used with different bed sheets, that's why my warning. From my side, receiving such a low rating just because I offended your sensitivity is an outrage to common sense. Anyway you cannot dispute my way of arranging the beds, because everyone has his own habits and in the summer the duvets here are not provided, first of all to avoid the nonsense of keeping the room in a polar climate and sleeping covered like in wintertime.

  A week in Florence

  Our host Simon made sure we could get in and was around to help if he could. The room was spacious and clean. The ensuite bathroom was airy had big towels. It was easy to find and extremely quiet considering the traffic. The shutters made the room very dark which allowed us to sleep well

  We have just stayed three nights in this accommodation and found it amazing for the price we paid. It is in a very good location (around 15 mins to train station. 5-10 mins to mercato Centrale, 10 mins to galleria d’academia, 15-20 mins to most other things to see). The host seemed nice in the minimal interactions we had, gave us a map and explained how to get places and said hi each morning as we left. The rooms were clean upon arrival and were tidied each day. Not entirely sure why so many people are moaning about some of the rules you are asked to adhere too which I would say are all entirely reasonable, especially considering the price paid.Very enjoyable and would definitely return on future trips to Florence.   Could be better.

  Pros:Location is near to train station.Cheap price.Cons:Worn furniture in room.Shared toilet may require some refurbishment as its pretty old.No change of fresh towels.Overall: Pretty ok stay but the fact is the furniture and toilet are old. Do you really think that l can have large margins of income with the ridiculous rates you've paid? You acknowledge it, saying cheap price... Do you also think that with that rate you paid I can also afford to give you fresh towels every day? I'm not Santa Claus, no gifts at all!, lf you want 5-star services, look for and pay for a 5 stars hotel. The shared toilet is old, yes, but it's functional, is it not enough? You know how much it costs to refurbish a bathroom? In conclusion, as a general rule, as always, before complaining you should first think about what you booked and how much you spent... Cheers!
