Location

The residence is south of Florence, 3 km from the fashion label outlets in Leccio di Reggello, and 25 km from the centre of Florence. It is located in the countryside, surrounded by hills, vineyards and olive groves. Links to the public transport network are within around 300 m and the railway station is some 3 km away. Peretola Airport is situated at a distance of approximately 35 km and Galileo Galilei Airport about 90 km.

Facility

14 non-smoking rooms are available. The friendly staff at the reception desk are happy to answer any questions. Amenities include a baggage storage service, a safe and a drinks machine. Wireless internet access is provided in public areas. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. Wheelchair-accessible facilities are available. A fireplace creates a cosy atmosphere.     Triple experience! Great view, great wine and great food.

    We stayed here 2 nights on our Rick Steve’s best of Europe trip. We enjoyed everything about it stay here except that we had to leave after only 2 nights. Niko and his family were fantastic hosts. The food was amazing, we enjoyed the peaceful countryside view. Two days was not enough.

    We recently stayed here as part of a group tour. Nico and his staff were all so welcoming and the grounds were just amazing. I felt like I was living a dream. The food and the accommodations were excellent. We were able to have our dinners under the Tuscan sky and it included a live band. We were also treated to a cooking lesson by the hotel restaurant chef. I can only hope to go back there again someday.     No Wifi, no TV and very noisy

    We chose this "hotel" as it was in the countryside just outside of Florence. A small reception but the reception staff spoke good English and was efficient. The room we were given opened into a small (childs) room first which was furnished with a small wrought iron bed with no windows. The main bedroom had a very small window which looked out onto the Tuscan countryside. The bed was old and lumpy and needs replacing. The bathroom also had no window and is old fashioned. The Wifi did not work (we connected in the reception but as soon as you got back to your room, it disconnected). Also the TV did not work. The lady at reception came to look at it for us but said the maintenance guy had gone home. We had dinner in the restaurant which was nice and very Tuscan. It is not part of the hotel and is run separately. The biggest problem for us was the noise. Whilst it is not the fault of the hotel if their guests are noisy, we had a family above us and we could hear every word, laughter, screams, TV, toilet flush, kids thumping and running etc. This also continued during the night at all hours. Breakfast was the highlight. It is served in a separate annex to the hotel across the road. The buffet (covid buffet) was served to us and consisted of hot and cold food, fruit, pastries, etc. Of course lots of Italian coffee. As we were there in November the pool was closed but we could imagine this an idyllic spot in the summer. Shame about the Wifi and TV. Nico Burchi, Proprietario at Hotel Tenuta il Burchio, responded to this review Dear Guest,We would like to thank you for your review and specially for the good words about the restaurant service and breakfast.One of the most caracteristical part of our Hotel is that is 250 years old building born like a farmhouse, in fact some of the rooms are made in the barn part with blocks on the window or small window (to don't loose to much temperature), we have ceilings with wooden beams and terracotta tiles (wich are thinner and not easy to soundproof) and wall like 50/60cm deeper wich is not easy to across with wifi network. Some of this things are right to be bettered and we are working to made everythings better but some are impossible to change as will be changing the nature of the building.however, we hope to be able to host you again soon to show you the improvements made

    As a traveller, not much phases me. Clean and safe room, hot water, and somewhere to sleep is only important. I am not sure what the other rooms are like and I was offered to move rooms, the state of the bed in my room was not a good sign. I slept terribly on a 3 inch thick mattress with a big dip in it, looks like 20yrs old. And don’t let me start of the pillows.Friendly staff. Good breakfast. Helpful. For a place that doesn’t really have ‘location’ or ‘beauty’ going for it they should really invest in some quality beds.

    Beautiful location. Good prices. Only half an hour away from Florence finding a place like this is amazing. Beautiful landscape. Their garden is perfect for an aperitivo. Sunsets are beautiful. Great choice for staying close to Tuscany and to Florence.
