  Disappointing Billing Error and Poor Customer Care

  We stayed at Best Western Plus Hotel Tigullio Royal in Rapallo in July. Unfortunately, our stay was ruined by a serious billing error and two months of frustrating customer service.Due to an administrative mistake by the reception, we were charged twice for our stay, resulting in an erroneous overcharge of nearly €2,000. It took weeks of repeated inquiries and reminders before the hotel finally acknowledged the error and processed a refund.Because of the extended delay in processing the refund, currency exchange fluctuations and fees resulted in a financial loss for us. Even though this loss was entirely caused by the hotel’s mistake, management refused to take full responsibility. After months of back-and-forth, the General Manager only offered to cover half of the difference as a "gesture of goodwill".Refusing to make a guest whole after a major overcharge and hiding behind banking procedures is completely unacceptable. I strongly advise checking your card statements carefully if you stay here. We will not be returning.

  We had an absolutely fabulous holiday in Rapallo, staying at the lovely BW Plus Tigullio Royal Hotel. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The food was fantastic and the sky bar was amazing. The hotel is in an ideal location, on the sea front and only 6 mins walk from the train station.   A wonderful relaxing stay at a great hotel.

  The location of the hotel is great, A very short 5 minute walk from the station and nicely situated on the sea front. Rapallo is a cute holiday town with a nice vibe to it. I had no issues with noise in my room. The staff were very friendly and helpful - On initial booking there was a problem with my card payment going through but I contacted the hotel directly and they were quick and prompt in sorting things out.The room was great - I got a good deal on an upgrade to a superior room for my 7 night stay - everything was well looked after by the staff, clean and tidied each day too.The breakfast was also good - A large selection of a whole variety of things, pastries, fruit, meats, eggs, cereals. A very good way to start the day.The price was pretty good and worth paying for - As a solo traveler paying for a room and not splitting it with someone, is just one of those things.   Excellent stay with stunning views and outstanding service

  Excellent stay at the Tigullio Royal Hotel in Rapallo. The location is perfect, within walking distance of the old town, the seafront, and the ferries to Portofino and the Cinque Terre.The room was comfortable, clean, and well maintained. The staff were friendly, professional, and always willing to help. Breakfast offered a good selection of fresh and high-quality products, making for a great start to the day.A great choice for exploring the Italian Riviera. I would gladly stay here again.   An absolute dream

  Do not let the name best Western for you. This hotel has everything. It is elegant, in an amazing location, has an amazing breakfast, and an even better happy hour. The owners of the hotel are so accommodating and helpful. All the staff incredible the room that they have us in is absolutely a dream with a beautiful view of the sea. I cannot say enough, good things about the location and the accommodations of this hotel. And again the staff and the owners are absolutely most loveliest people ever. We will be dreaming of this stay that we had here and we are definitely coming back.
