    The "highspeed wifi" don't exist!!

    The location was perfekt and it was a nice room. Breakfastroom is very small with few tables and there was a queue almost every morning. The personal was very nice despite stress. OBS!! The hotel promise "free highspeed wifi" but it didn't exist for us. We complained every day in five days but nothing happened at all and when we left there was no excuse or replacement!

    We stayed here for 2 nights whilst travelling around Europe, this was our worst destination. The town is not very exciting and there are lots of groups of young men hanging around the cafes and streets. The shops aren't very good and the ones they have are very over priced. The hotel apparently upgraded us, the room itself was ok and clean albeit dated. The best feature was the parquet flooring and that it had a bath. It's a 3 star so you can't expect too much. But when I opened the balcony doors the hotel opposite is being renovated so there was drilling and work happening all day creating noise. I asked if we could be moved to the other side of the hotel and apparently it was full. The staff were pleasant.The hotel is very outdated, the halls are lined with material and the fittings are old.Breakfast was included in our rate but it was served in a first floor room that was like a school canteen, awful. The choices were ok but you have to ask the waitress for machine coffee unless you accept the horrible filter coffee. There was cakes, meats, cheeses, bread, cereal etc. Unfortunately the weather wasn't good so on our second day we decided the spend the afternoon in our room with Netflix. The hotel then decided to start maintenance themselves with drilling and then someone came to our room to clean the air con unit. Fair enough reception called after and apologized which was nice but by that point all I wanted was to leave. We did find sun lounger areas in the town up by the castle so had the weather been nice we could have made us of those - so I give the town that. If you are travelling I wouldn't recommend this town, there are lots more options and certainly not this hotel.

    Only lift, is non-functioning on arrival and with no less than60 plus stairs to my horrid room!No air-conditional in this stairway ; …and is stifling hot! Today 30 ++ degrees C ) whilst negotiating these stairs (after spinal injury!!)Filthiest carpet on stairway I have ever seen! ( I am an extremely experienced world traveller too.)Filthy bathroom with mould between tiles and around shower door frame. The metal shower rail looks like it has not been cleaned for years!Basin tap is so old it is disgusting!Hairdryer is putrid; covered in dirty finger prints. Should be removed and destroyed! The entire bathroom and bedroom need a “deep” clean!Bed was not properly presented on arrival. I found the bed “doona” 😳 in the wardrobe. It is an uncovered, wispy piece of wadding that would float away in a very light breeze! UNBELIEVABLE!!!The soap!! Oh its a joke! 🤣! Half the size of THE smallest hotel soap, I have ever seen! Probably enough to wash your hands twice! Inadequate power-points for mobile phone charger etc.PowerPoints look like they have not been cleaned for years!Inadequate lighting! (Likely deliberate so you cannot see the deep filth.)Superficial cleaning here only! BEWARE!!!An absolute “rip off!” Breakfast should be fun! As you need to book the exact time slot…to suit the hotel. I have never stayed in a hotel where a regimented time-slot must be chosen! ( Are you evicted if you stay 5 mins beyond your slot!?Nothing here is done for guest-comfort!Every penny-pinching measure possible seems to be employed to to ensure the guests receive very very little in terms of comfort and hygiene! Oh the air-con in the room actually works quite well ! !! Though with all the other cleaning issues, I strongly suspect, the air-con has never been serviced and is likely pumping out, foul air! A hotel -room that feels disgusting to stay in; “creepy” to dare touch anything!DO NOT even consider staying here…unless you are a masochist! Disgraceful owner to operate such a low-class “hotel.” The foyer looks good! That’s where it all ends! A “smoke & mirrors” business!I highly doubt the authenticity of the “favourable” reviews! Oh…& it’s 0103hrs here now and banging and noise from whatever is above my room! Unacceptable!!!

    The staff is friendly and helpful. The room is clean and comfortable. The hotel is centrally located within minutes walk from the beach, ferry and train station. It is easy to explore nearby Portofino and Cinque terre. The promenade and surrounding alleys have many restaurants.

    We stayed 3 nights. The hotel is in a perfect location, walking distance to the train, bus station, restaurants and to the sea. A close bus ride to Santa Margherita and Portofino. The room was modern and very clean. Excellent breakfast. A big thank you to Lucrezia, Giovanni and Margherita for their exceptional service.Would highly recommend this Hotel. The Twins, Toronto, Canada
