You really get what you paid for. Hotel, although outdated was clean and only 5 min walk from the beach. The view is definetely worth the money. Be aware that no one speaks English, but a younger receptionist. There are couple of bars and restaurants in the area, only one supermarket. And yes, full buffet breakfast really costs 5€ and do not expect anything freshly prepared, accept omlet and fried eggs. But trust me when I say it's worth a while because the view is breath taking. Parking lot is more a storage area, but still enough place to park (beware if you're having bigger car).Lavagna was the first place where we haven't seen one single tourist, bit of a surprise and yet authentic. Beach is with stones, expect to pay 25€ for 2 sunbeds, umbrella and entrance for two people. There si also a patch of the beach that's free to use, but heavily crowded. If your goal is to be close to the beach, but want something budget friendly, choose this place. Elegantly dated.

I gave this hotel five stars even though it doesn’t advertise as a five star hotel. The reason is that we got what we paid for.We needed a clean bed and room close to an engagement we had.The rooms were clean. Obviously a family business, the people working there were pleasant and quietly proud of their business.I have never been anywhere and paid €5 for a buffet breakfast that catered for fairly broad dietary needs. If you’re on a budget but don’t want to stay in a dive, this is worth considering. Quaint hotel just minutes from the beach

    rating21 Jun 2019

I enjoyed my stay here for two nights. I liked that the beach was in walking distance, there was a small grocery around the corner, the bed slept so well, and the beautiful views from the fifth floor terrace outside the dinner and breakfast area. My mobile had weak service in my room, however. Perhaps had I had a room with a balcony this wouldn't have been an issue. Luca S, Direttore generale at Hotel Tirreno, responded to this review Thanks

Good Hotel, clean and big rooms.

nice room with clean bathroom, air condition was a big plus. All hotel looks nice and clean. The only problem probably owner didn't speak English and it was bit hard to communicate but he tried his best. Area ok but next time would go closer to town and train station. piero s, Direttore vendite at Hotel Tirreno, responded to this review Thanks

Almost acceptable hotel, but the impression is spoiled by fraudulent actions

    rating03 Jun 2018

The hotel is normal, our room was clean and big enough. The location is good - close to the sea, many nice restaurants, supermarkets, etc. Parking area is overloaded and not for big cars. Nobody from the hotel stuff speaks English. For breakfasts you have to pay additionally, they are quite poor, but the sea view during the breakfast compensate it.We have spent 5 nights in this hotel, but at the end Tirreno hotel has reported to the booking system that we left earlier and lived only 2 nights. As a result, I lost my bonuses, and I suppose the booking system lost its commission. Of course, these tricky guys didn't provide any bill, apparently, decreasing taxes.
