    Magnificent Hotel and Staff in Liguria

    This is a fantastic hotel in a great location in all of Chiavari and maybe farther. The staff treat me like family and I feel like family there. This wonderful hotel is long time family owned and run and it shows through the family and the staff. To go along with the wonderful people is a fantastic restaurant both inside or on a beautiful deck and bar outside overlooking the pool and patio. The breakfast and the room that it is in is also very special. Lots of light and very open and inviting. This is a wonderful four star hotel in one of the greatest little cities in all of Italy, but the staff and family are all "5 STAR PLUS".     Wonderful hotel and staff, feels like home

    The hotel is located right at the edge of the main old town area, steps from the walking streets. It’s tucked behind an old church and is the same style as the surrounding historical buildings. Lots of good shops and restaurants in close walking distance. Rooms are newly renovated and comfortable. Bathroom was particularly nice, two separate heads in the shower. But what sets this hotel apart is the staff. In really every aspect they were warm, welcoming and responsive. Whoever is running this hotel is doing a fine job because the staff works very well together and excels in every function, including front desk, restaurant, bellman. For example late one night my wife needed medication and there were no 24 hour pharmacies in the town. The night manager found one in a neighboring town and spoke with the pharmacy to make sure the medication would be ready. And on top of all that had after hours meals prepared for us to be ready when we got back (excellent by the way). This place felt like home. We will absolutely go back any time we are in the area.     Lovely hotel, very central with good parking good location for the train station with easy reach of cinque terre , the staff were very helpful with anything you needed advice on, the restaurant was very good but a bit on the pricey side but nice for a treat & one night of excellent entertainment, pool area very good , would definitely recommend Olga Bacigalupo, Proprietario at Hotel Monte Rosa, responded to this review Dear Mrs. Sheila,Thank you ever so much for such a wonderful review!     Great hotel in a lovely Italian old town.

    Our first time to this area, and what a perfect choice.Chiavari is a working town, not a resort. Very Italian, in its style. Features a promenade, squares with little bars/cafes. Restaurants hidden down little alleys. Many beautiful old buildings and churches.The hotel itself is right in the centre of the old town, handy for shops, restaurants, cafes/bars. All of which were reasonably priced. Due to the hotels location quiet at night. We had a recently renovated room. came with fridge, tv, tea/coffee making facilities, robes/slippers. Free wi-fi thoughout. Large breakfast room, with a good breakfast, primarily continental, but also had a hot option. There was also a bar and restaurant, swimming pool. The hotel had gone through a recent renovation.Short, easy 10 minute walk to local train station, where you can catch the train to , Rapello, Cinque terre, Santa Margherita (boat to Portofino), Genoa and Camogli and many more. The hotel was spotless. Staff were excellent, helpful, polite, friendly and professional.     Very nice place, location and services. Many little acxessories in the room and for the pool.The best part is the amazing staff. Every single employee from the reception's manager Massimo and his more than ttentive and accommodating colleagues, the dining area's manager Luca and his courteous staff. As well as the maids, maintenance workers and shuttle driver all whom have gone above and beyond courtesy and professionalism. The food quality and presentation is wonderful and the dinner "mezza pensione" offer at booking is an amazing deal. Will definitely be back.Bravissimi, che dire. Mille grazie di tutte le vostre premure nei miei riguardi e le mie esigenze. Mai avuto questo tipo di servizio in nessun'altro hotel e ho viaggiato spesso. Veramente gradito.
