  IN THE LIVING ROOM OF GRANDMOTHER HOPE

  Found at the direction of random acquaintances. In an old noble palace in the heart of the Old Town, next to the famous Via Garibaldi, we were given a large apartment, on the first floor (stairs), a bit "fané", with a large living room furnished in full nineteenth century style, complete with an oil portrait of king and queen, carpets, sofa and piano and porcelain service on display. Small master bedroom but quiet, bathroom blind but sufficient. Breakfast in the morning to be taken at a nearby bakery. Edward, the noble owner, exquisite man and great connoisseur of Genoa.   Ok for the right people

  Interesting place & I’ll try to be impartial. We went in August & my partner unfortunately broke her leg before travel (obviously nothing to do with the hotel). The Palazzo is well situated geographically for what you’d want to do in Genoa. If you are of a nervous disposition (I’m not), be aware that returning at night might be challenging owing to the narrow streets and the people around . There aren’t any staff around so if you need that then perhaps not the place for you. As stated previously we went in August & in addition to the 85 steps to our room, the breakfast room was probably the most humid & uncomfortable I’ve been in. I’m not slagging the place off, just trying to provide an honest impartial review. Happy to be contacted if anyone requires clarification.

  Great location in the heart of the historic center of Genoa.

  Palazzo Zecchino is very well located in the heart of the historic center of Genoa.1 km from Genova Principe train station easily accessible on foot.The room is spacious, comfortable and clean.You have a safe and a small fridge.Hearty breakfast.The staff is very friendly.   A hidden gem

  We felt we really struck lucky with Palzzo Zecchino. As with so many streets in old Genoa, the approach is narrow, busy and cramped - but once through the door we were in another world. We had a cosy, antique-furnished double room (with an immaculate en suite) next to the grand dining area, which is decorated in classical palazzo style. Eduardo could not have been more welcoming; he spent time on arrival showing us highlights of Genoa on a map and recommending good places to eat. We felt we were in our own little oasis of serenity in this hectic and fascinating city. We wholeheartedly recommend Palazzo Zecchino.

  A pleasant stay in Genoa

  Due to my visit in Genoa the past week I was lucky enough to find a treasure historic houses in the heart of the city. We were welcomed and felt like we were back home right away. One of the biggest advantages was the fact that the house was so clean and every single day we had prepared a beautiful breakfast to enjoy. The location of the house is an absolute privilege since we were close to any must place of the city. I suggest with no doubt that if you visit Genoa you must chose this house to stay and I am sure that Eduard and his friends Marco and Francesca will make sure that you have a unique experience of hospitality.
