Exceptional Service and Confort, an unforgettable stay !

    rating25 Apr 2026

Great, beautiful location, beautiful surrounding atmosphere, from the moment we step inside this hotel fills like carefuly curated work of art....an amazing pictures on the walls, fresh, beautiful flowers - great first impression of the hotel. Everything about the hotel was exceptional. It was clean, stylish, roomy with excellent service and big balcony, an amazing view to the gardens, swimming pools and the sea.Great staff, most friendly and helpful receptionist and staff ever, especially the managers Giampaolo & Piergiovanni Castagna, Alberto, Maria Concetta, Francesco, the driver Antonio .They organised out trip to Naples, Visuvius and Pompeii with all details, tickets and transport, gave to us great information about Ischia and what is the best to visit and see for five days. The restaurant staff were so professional ( Elena, Roberto and everyone else) , the buffet was so presentable and the food, most delicious one.I'm person with Celiac Disease and chef Geovani surprised me with deliceus Gluten Free food.Thank you all of you that made our holiday unforgettable- a genuinely exceptional experience from start to finish. We definitely will be back in September. Highly recommend! This hotel exceeded my expectations in every way .Yanka Moskova

    Would not recommend

Sadly, this hotel was a disappointing experience. Breakfast is very limited - not even fresh fruit. Tubs are only warm in the morning, tepid by afternoon and cool by evening. No refrigerator or coffee maker in rooms and internet is only available in the lobby.

This was a wonderful hotel,as already mentioned the staff are very friendly and will do all they can to help with any problems. Our room 158 was beautiful, with amazing sea views. The food was very good, and the evening meals excellent. The wine tour is not to be missed or the wine tasting..So relaxing in such a lovely environment, with the hot thermal baths and beautiful well kept gardens. So thank you to all the staff and Alberto for making this such a successful holiday.

A most disappointing experience. Not worth rating,

    rating02 Oct 2025

We travel pretty constantly and I don’t enjoy writing bad reviews, and rarely need to. However the La Pergola is one of the most disappointing experiences we have had in many years.Let me start with the restaurant. (I use the term loosely). We arrived around 5pm so decided to eat there. Normally one has to book the night before AND needs to place the order at that time. This is not that difficult because there are very few choices. The order is then placed on your table so the servers do not have to communicate; they just look at what you have ticked and deliver it. We had selected the more expensive menu but the food was sadly, pathetic. First, a small plate of cold rice with some small pieces of chopped up Octopus, a small piece of unidentifiable meat with a few potatoes then a very small plastic container with vanilla ice cream with chocolate sauce. (Similar to a McDonalds’s Happy Meal). This cost - 35 euros pp. The room and the meal reminded me of something one might see in a low grade care home. Canteen food at best. The major problem is that there is nothing else in that area so every evening we had to then get a bus to the nearest town and find a good restaurant and then arrange to have another bus to bring us back to the hotel. As far as hotel facilities go, they advertise that they have seven pools. Two of these are Jacuzzis which are situated next to each other in a room, which would be acceptable, except they do not heat them. There is a button that creates bubbles, but I didn’t see too many people enjoying sitting in cold bubbling water .The same goes for the three swimming pools. There are not many people using them which one might think is a positive factor, except for the fact the reason is that again the hotel does not heat any of the pools. This does not apply of course to the two thermal pools but they recommend that one should only stay in them for as long as 10 minutes. The rooms are adequate but the bathroom is extremely small. We were booked in for seven nights but were ready to leave after just one. The Ferries were busy on the weekend so we waited until Monday then returned to Naples for a most enjoyable three days. The hotel would not credit us for the remaining days we had paid for, a disappointing response but also not surprising. A forward thinking manager would realise that a customer would not make a ‘personal decision to leave a property’ unless there was a good reason. In this case, there were many. However they can all be summed up by the fact that we feel the hotel completely misrepresented the facilities and the experience that the hotel offered. Our stay at La Pergola was one of the most disappointing in many years. As a result, I did feel obligated to write a thorough review in order to warn people what to expect.

    Outstanding Service

    rating29 Sept 2025

We arrived just before midnight, weary after a day travelling, but pleased that our transfers had all been smooth. We were relieved that there was someone on reception who was expecting us. "Would you like to go straight to bed, or would you like to go and freshen up and come back for some food? Or would you prefer to eat straight away?" We opted for the latter and were pleasantly surprised to be led to a table that was already prepared and set for us. We were provided with a delicious three course meal and a bottle of lovely wine from the hotel's own vineyard. We were then escorted to our room where our luggage awaited us. We went to bed wondering whether the level of service we had experienced could be maintained or whether it was just a one-off.It wasn't a one-off! Throughout our stay the management and staff could not have done anything more to make our stay better. They were consistently helpful, polite, cheerful and friendly. The hotel is rated as three stars. Everywhere is immaculately clean - the grounds, the communal areas and the bedrooms. Our bedroom was spacious and well-appointed. The sound-proofing could perhaps be improved upon, but it certainly didn't impair our enjoyment of our holiday. The various pools are lovely and the morning & evening shuttle service ensures that the whole island is easily accessible for guests.Breakfast is acceptable, but the evening meals are on quite a different level. Aside from the vineyard, the owners grow much of their own produce and that becomes obvious when you taste the food. We dined in every evening - not because it was convenient - but because the quality of the food was so good (as was the wine). One of the owners eats in the restaurant with the guests every night and this clearly helps to maintain standards. That same individual took a party of us to visit the family vineyard. His knowledge and enthusiasm were infectious and the trip was a highlight of the holiday. I'd strongly recommend you take the opportunity if it is offered. Also, the views from up there are spectacular. So, a 3 star hotel with 4 star food and 5 star service. And I'd give the management and staff 10 stars each.
