  Visited Villa Franca hotel in Ischia for 7 nights in October with a half board deal from Fleetway Travel. We enjoyed our stay having never been to Italy before. Room we had was adequate with plenty of clean towels and always lots of hot water for showering. Outside pool was nice with plenty of sunbeds. Food was fine for breakfast and dinner. Dinner had choice of 2 starters(soup or pasta and sometimes risotto) and 2 mains (fish or meat).Enjoyed our stay as we didn't know what to expect.

  Just come back sunday 20/10/19, from this fabulous hol, booked with Fleetway travel, this bargain 7 day trip was excellent, flight to Naples v.g, ferry to port great, transport dead on time, transfer door to door to hotel , return all on time. Hotel franco, small but excellent, only 3 star, but deserves better, superior room had wet room bathroom, was big , very clean!! Everything you needed, spotless towels and bedding, the staff very helpful and friendly, very quiet hotel, except for the early morning alarm from the pet parrot, noisy but fun, swimming pool area was one of the best we have seen in a small hotel, the island is stunning, had seven days, but deffo not long enough. We had half board, breakfast adequate, dinner allthough plenty was not great, too much reparticient, but for the price we paid for the whole holiday, if we didnt fancy eating in, there are plenty of nice reasonable places to eat in town, so thank you Fleetway travel, and villa Franca for a fabulous holiday.   Really lovely hotel. The staff are really lovely especially the young Daughter of this family run hotel. Lovely food my husband had to eat my fish one evening because I didn’t like the taste but every meal was good apart from this. The swimming pool was very cold outside but worth it as I swam the first time in 15 years which was the last time we visited Ischia.

  Visited this family run hotel for one week. Although a cheap deal from Fleetway we just made the most of the weather and restaurants by the sea. Rooms and hotel are very dated, but clean. Breakfast is poor, don't be looking for hot food, although this did not bother me, lazy fruit, by that I mean apples, oranges and bananas some mornings, lots of dry cake and only one cereal and one muesli although I never went hungry. Dinner is at 8pm for everybody and is appalling. The menu is on the table at breakfast time and you choose then, however it is all in Italian despite the fact everybody that was staying was English so therefore it had to be translated by them everyday! There are two starters one is soup the other pasta, soup straight out of a packet, main is always a meat and fish opt for fish it is the better of the two. Dessert is straight from the freezer they pull the lid off and put it on a plate. Hotel is on a very busy main road which you can hear all day even by the pool. There is a bird in the hotel in a cage which is most annoying as it chirps from 8am until bedtime. There is aircon but it was only on twice the week I was there and they put it on at 8pm when everybody is at dinner! Outside light on your balcony, if you are lucky to have one ours was more of a courtyard, goes out at 10.30pm. There is a disabled toilet on the ground floor but you can't use it as that is the cleaners store room! If you are in room 20,22,24,26 or 28 you will be awaken at 8am when cleaners arrive and start chatting between them and the bird you will be an early riser. The bar by the pool is open some days but it is just pot luck. No music or entertainment in hotel either.Would definitely not recommend this hotel

  We booked this on a cheap deal and had low expectations. I have to be honest, when we first arrived we were disappointed by the proximity to the main road, by the size of our room and the fact that we were supposed to have a balcony but didn't. So initial impressions weren't great.However ... the staff, the food, the location all made up for the negatives. The hotel and pool are kept spotlessly clean. The staff are lovely, they make you feel very welcome. The food is great - local dishes, lots of it, great quality. I was concerned about breakfast as I try to restrict myself with cakes, etc - but the variety was good and there was also cereals, fruits, etc available. Although the road outside is busy, the advantage is that the walk to the bus stop is very short. And with a bus pass you can get around and explore the whole island. We very quickly fell in love with Ischia and with this hotel. I think we've got a bit too conditioned to big chain hotels (hence our initial concerns) but actually it was lovely to stay at this small, charming, family run hotel. And we soon realised the island was full of these type of places.It would have been nice to have tea/coffee available during the day, and the toiletries in the room weren't topped up daily. But these were the only negatives and I wouldnt hesitate to recommend this hotel as we felt we had such fantastic value for money.
